Your recipes are great, your personality is adorable, and even though English is not your first language, it’s so easy to follow your instructions. You’re doing great, and I can’t wait to see how popular your channel gets!! This is the kind of content I am SO happy to watch ads for. You deserve all the ad revenue!!
Hello Mrs Imamu! It has been a week! How are you doing? I really enjoyed your recipe for the onigiri! I wanted to thank you for it! And... I found out that my girlfriend's favourite food is omurice! I've been watching many tutorials online on how to prepare it. So I was wondering... do you often make omurice? And does your channel have a video of omurice? I really want to make her happy, so I want to surprise her with cooking! I think that your cooking is so tasty, so I was curious about it, or if you had any tips/recommendations on how to make the omurice better. I saw the "tornado omelette" that goes on top of the omurice, but it is so difficult... And my proportions with the rice are not always good. I personally love salty and meaty foods, but she does not like an overwhelming taste such as spicy food I believe. Thank you so much in advance! I really like your videos!
Omurice is so tasty I like it too ! Yes I have a video I made Omurice for Bento lunch. So you could check it but I usually make basic Omurice so I don't know that is you looking for. Anyway Thank you for watcing and Enjoy cooking Japanese food :)

Ok WOW I went on a rant... But point is final score 15/10!!!!! P.S. I'm going to spam this to the other videos too, that was way too long to only comment once.
When i worked at a restaurant, I used to pack a panda design bento with rice on bottom, and on top sausage, cheese (cheddar or swiss cubes) and vegetable (usually raw broccoli and carrot, sometimes cucumber)
Hi, i'm Ayu from Indonesia. Thank you for making this content. I watch your video for my me time. So healing to see your creation bento. Keep healthy wherever you are. XOXO
I loved all your preparations, but my favorite one is the last one hahaha . I'm a new fallower from France ^_^ .thank you for sharing these delicious bentos.
How do you have the time to prepare the bento boxes everyday? The work you put into these bento boxes is amazing. I work about 10 hours a day not including my commute time and I'm trying to figure out a way to do what you do with the bento boxes. What time do you wake up to make the bento boxes and how long does it take? You must plan the meal ahead too?
They get up pretty early. Around six or so usually, maybe even earlier but stay at home mom's in Japan (idk if she is or not) go to sleep pretty early also to make up for the time. Bentos usually take up to an hour of prep since some stuff can be prepped the night before. Bento food is usually decently simple to make and hearty. I didn't have time for bentos since both my parents worked so I'd stop at my local convini for an onigiri or musubi on the way to highschool.
Depending on how experienced you are with cooking, I would recommend you start with simple meal prep recipes. There are hundreds of them online. Eventually you will gain a feeling for how long what things take and can start mix and matching depending on the time you have that week and what's in the fridge. You will also gain a feeling for what things you can do simultaneously to save time and what can be prepped in advance. These things definitely take some practice and planning ahead but as soon as you become an experienced cook, it won't take long to create a varied menu for the upcoming week :)
@@Celisteis Definitely, but it does take time to ready the meals. As you get better you'll get faster and find new ways to make your food ready faster but bentos usually tend to take more than 30+ minutes of even a experienced mother's time.
That's why I recommended starting with meal prep recipes! They have a lot of foods that can be prepared in advance on the weekend or in the evening before and can be used over several days once you have them and you will learn dishes that can be made/prepared in a few minutes. I'm a homecook who's been making daily lunches for myself for years. A simple bento with rice, pickled veggies and fried meat can be done in under 30min. Cooking and steaming sushi rice takes about 20 - 25min and you can soak the rice already the evening before which takes a couple min to prep. So in the morning you just have to press a button. Same for pickled veggies, takes 5 min to cut and marinate and can sit in the fridge overnight. While you cut the veggies you can also cook some eggs and marinate them as well with soy sauce and mirin. In the days after, you just have to cut them open for the bento. While the rice is cooking in the morning, you cut the meat, bread it and fry it up. Sure assembly could take a while but since the lunches are for yourself they don't have to be put together meticolously. While I'm at it if you haven't already, I'd really recommend umeboshi or ready-made japanese rice toppings. They're really tasty! Sorry for the long reply, I just don't want swong705 to give up hope yet haha :D Also yay for One Piece!! I love Pica :'D
@@Celisteis Haha! Ty so much, I loved Pica since I'm a guy and I enjoy cooking (I am average height but have the exact opposite voice of Pica which makes me kinda laugh at my pfp). My experience with meal prep is that if it's for the morning ie: Bentos for lunch and what not to bring to school marinating and prepping things from yesterday night is easier. Since quarantine happened I don't really meal prep since I can wake up when I please lol. Never really tried meal prepping on the day of either for dinner or lunch.

Hi Mrs. Imamu, I'm making sando for a picnic and I would love your advice! What do you think would go well with the chicken-egg sando that tastes sweet? I love your videos and they help me feel very calm and comfortable.
Not only in Japan, in almost every country in Asia rice is a main course so we eat that with almost everything such as tuna hamburg or pork belly cabbage stir fry. And yeah, we eat rice every day even in the morning (^_^)/
Rice is a staple food. Most places have a staple: corn, potato, rice, flour, barley, beans.... It's a food that is easy to grow in bulk, will store in a dry place, and has a plain flavor to be added to anything. This means it's economic, less meat and vegetable need to be used, as well as providing carbohydrates to give people energy to do their daily work. In addition to saving money to buy meat and vegetable, meat and vegetable often contribute to soil depletion as they consume many nutrients. Rice and grain fields when traditionally grown (not industrial agriculture) are more efficient as they tend to be foods that are habituated to growing in the type of climate that is easy to farm.
They all look amazing but Wednesdays in particular I'd probably want at least 2 because goddamn does it look good! If I did the portions I'd be very fat indeed...
If only I had a husband/partner. I would spoil them with stuff like this but then I have a feeling they wouldn't like stuff like this. _But will that stop me?_
