Try watching Canadian TV in French (especially Radio-Canada, the French equivalent of CBC). You will learn to speak with the Québec accent, which is quite different from what you would hear in a French movie from France.
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing this information! I was wondering if there are classes for English speakers to learn French. I’m an American citizen who works as a licensed social worker. I’m also worried about your winters. I’m currently living in the northeast US so we also have long winters, but I’m sure it’s not as cold as Montreal. But I feel so drawn to the city.

@@miraafloyd I feel that NY for example gets more snow lately, and Montreal get colder weather (which snows less when it's really cold, but you still get snow there). If you don't have a car and can live near a metro and do everything near metro, you're golden.
French classes are offered for free in Montreal for non French speakers. I'm sure it's the same all over the province. As for the weather, if you have the right equipment, you won't feel an insane difference with what you already know in northeast US but Winters are a bit longer though and some days can get really cold but it's not everyday! ;)

The skiing shots were not taken in Quebec. You can skate on the lac des castors and cross country on Mont Royal in Montreal. Really fun to do under the full moon. You can have a hot chocolate in an art deco building on Mont Royal. 2000 La Gauchetiere has the coolest indoor ice skating rink .

Last 15? years? i think as investors buy property around the world and the rents keep going up by 10% every year ( investors...) more and more people will be in the streets. Wages are not going up by 10% every year. In the states, landlords are allowed to increase rents by 10% every year in my area. I wonder if Montreal has a 10% cap or other?
I don't think there is a cap but you have to justify the rent going up by doing renovation. If not you can only going up to make for inflation or taxes going up
