- This time, Corpus Christi College of Cambridge meets University of York. First aired 13.10.2014 (I know, my mistake for mulling over for way too long. I'm doing series of updating today)
The Corpus Christi team were lovely!
is it calabria - no its calabria
Punk yes ... but FUNK too ...... Funk is a music genre that originated in African-American communities in the mid-1960s when African-American musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of soul music, psychedelic rock, jazz, and rhythm and blues (R&B).
wtf happened with the Calabria question? Just because he slightly mispronounced it, they didn't get the points? I've seen worse answers that were approved. Jeremy is cruel.
SvobodovaEva No, he is not cruel, they did get their points .He accepted the answer, corrected the pronunciation, and took 5 points off the other team for interrupting.
@@wayneloveday4716 they didn't get the points though
Paxman is now a record breaking 27 year quizmaster.
He's probably holidayed in the region and so took grave offence
Fortunately there was still enough time after Paxo's introduction for some quiz questions.
Jeremy hates the York team.
+Sarah-Kate Masters Roberts What makes you say that?
Probably because he's a Cambridge man. Despite being brought up in Yorkshire.
Sarah-Kate Masters Roberts I saw no evidence for that at all.
Funk also rhymes with skunk.
You beauty! Kia ora from New Zealand!
Excellent question about English singer-songwriter Graham Parker, born 18 November 1950, Hackney, East London. Caroline Purvis, from Southend-on-Sea, studying Physical Natural Sciences, answered Elvis. "Elvis?" asked Jeremy Paxton.
Middleton was an excellent team captain, ably supported by Crowther, his right hand man (metaphorically speaking). Alexander didn't contribute much to the York squad except as eye candy, but I'm not mad about it.
Eye candy?? 😂😂
@@vali4097 his smile was infectious ngl
ONE OF THE BEST UNIVERSITIES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, AND CAMBRIDGE PLAY LIKE THIS?!
Sharma should stop eating his skin flakes.... yuk....other than that, everybody else was quite fun and charming. Thanks so much for the upload
For the most part, that was a tight and exciting race, but it would've been better with Gabriel Trueblood and Fred Harvey leading the teams.
He didn’t mispronounce, it was clearly wrong
Both pretty poor.
