I just found this channel and I just want to say I love the way you ramble on about what you like!, its very interesting to me the way you do your videos and very enjoyable (other than making it easy for me to sleep) I hope you have a nice day/night :)
i’ve just found your account and i totally dig your passion for all things vintage ! your accent is so relaxing, the personality you bring to every video is so unique !! love from california :)
Ordinary People is one of my favorites. I last saw it 10 years ago and it still sticks with me. It’s a great example of the psychological coping mechanisms we all use.
It is a stressful time as the holidays and the end of a quarter rolls around, but I hope you take some time to care for yourself. You’re a really cool guy and I hate seeing you seem stressed or nervous about how things will go. Just keep pushing and working hard, but remember that it’s all going to be okay in the long run!
Hi Manolo, thank you very much for the new video, I hope that you are doing well. Cool hairstyle and congratulations on adding to the collection. Have a good mood.
@@manoloasmr If it's interesting, I left comments for you under the previous videos, although I no longer want to impose this idea on you, friend, I understand that you are busy )
It’s absolutely fantastic- can only dream about having seen it in cinemas when it first came out. As I say that I realise I rarely watch these more touching movies in cinema- new ones that being, I guess it somewhat has to do with cinema playing a bigger role back then, nowadays with the ease of streaming only certain movies seem to attract at the cinemas. In a more general way that is, of course there’s always gonna be someone going to a screening, whatever the movie- someone’s gonna be interested but for me as a teen, I only really go to the movies with friends- usually it’s because it might’ve been a while since we were at the movies so we just try to plan in a visit to the cinemas as soon as there’s a somewhat interesting movie being screened, but lately there’s been a lot of that with Oppenheimer, Barbie (this more because it was a thing that had to be done, see both the same day) then there’s Priscilla being released- albeit that I might see at home because I’ve already dragged all my friends to Elvis (2022) last year, but going back to cinema-worthy movies, Hammarskjöld for us Swedes, might be of more interest to my friends than Priscilla, and of course the Ferrari movie that’s coming. Idk I’m just rambling on now, but I guess, yeah I’ve lost my train of thought, I guess I was going at why cinemas might not be of the same relevance today as it once was. My argument is kind of stupid because at the same time, I’m very well aware that people went to the movies back then, for the sake of just going to the movies so I guess it has changed less than I anticipated when I started this reply hahaha, anyway appreciate the comment :)
I am a fan of the film Ordinary People so pleased you like it too. It's clever the way they use flashbacks to tell the story of how his older brother Buck died. Mary Tyler Moore's character is often seen as the villain and others argue she is the victim. Under estimated film which I have somewhere on DVD so will have to re-watch it now 🤣 keep up the good work your brilliant
Many thanks, and yes indeed I also find their use of flashbacks very clever, especially since they wait quite long before they actually touch that subject “head on” and actually explain the brother situation, up until then we get the flashbacks to somewhat build our own understanding of the situation, which albeit, might not be that hard to “crack”, but nevertheless a clever use.
Hahah, well if my English is considered that good then yes- we get introduced to it quite early and from there on it’s what feels like an ever ongoing subject in school. Albeit sometimes we drift off while speaking and develop a very typical/distinct accent where we kind of rely on the Swedish pronunciation of certain letters, or combination of letters but I guess that’s true with any nationality whose first language isn’t English
I love your hair anyway! don't apologize :) I miss watching your videos, I was so discouraged that I stopped watching things:/ I'm watching it again and it makes me feel better:)
@@manoloasmr a question Manolo (or whatever your name is), I started watching your videos to try to sleep and may I think you're suffering from anxiety or something like that? 🤨 btw I feel a little bit exposed talking to u comments idk
your casual rambles are my favourite ASMR videos out there! I especially love how you mention old actors/filmmakers that no other ASMRtists do!

"Ordinary People" is a great movie. I saw it when it first came out in 1980 (I was probably your age then!)

It’s bloody fantastic :)
u should do an asmr speaking Swedish
I’ll most definitely do that, just need to figure out what to do with it- what type of video
still waiting 😭 @@manoloasmr
Great purchase! I'm almost glad there aren't any pics of the more gut-punching scenes, that would be difficult to live with. 😅
Hahaha yeah, I’m perfectly glad with what I received- some scenes would’ve been way too hard to sit and stare at like that
Do all Swedish people learn English so well? I am jealous!
