They are double the price of Sonoff & other vendors , also they are running 433MHz which might be a problem in some countries. Please correct me if im wrong...
433MHz makes me think of LoRaWAN because it can use that frequency. Around 9GHz is more common though. Ever used LoRaWAN? Was thinking about getting a base station with MQTT but hadn’t decided yet. I don’t really need the range but it’d be a new toy to play with. Think the record distance is something like 900Km but that was in a flat country and with a balloon. Under conditions like that I’d bet Zigbee goes quite far too.
900KM? darn when I was looking at Lora, they were testing like 20 :) Someone went to town with this. I have no reason to use Lora mostly as my wifi was usually covering whole garden.

I'm not aware of regulations against the 433MHz in other countries so it's hard to comment on that part
