Hey! Thanks for making all these great instruments! I'm using Studio One (6.5). Actually, when I started working in this video, I had issues getting Tomsnare to load, but then suddenly that one showed up, and Kick was nowhere to be found... This could be some weird behaviour in Studio One - I remember developer Ocean Swift provided an extra dll file just to use in Studio One, because the "normal" file also didn't want to load there. And they provided instructions for scanning with that empty dll and then replacing it. 🤔
Quilcom synths are interesting, but you start the video by saying “every sound is out there”, which is an important point. You could get Arturia V Collection X and 39 of the all-time most popular synths and keyboards - or - you could get DexEd, bx_oberhausen, Vital and XT Surge - or - you could get Komplete 14. Point is, there are 1,000 of presets and every sound you might need is ‘out there’ for your use. So….does having access to every known sound help you write songs? Not at all.
The case I'm traying to make with this video series (though maybe obvious) is just, that noone needs to run out and buy instruments, since everything's already available for free :) Of course just having the tools doesn't write music by itself though!
It really depends on what you're looking for... I generally also whish the plugins were a bit more polished, but e.g. Sim reed is definitely a unique synth that you won't find anywhere else easily, and e.g. sim twg is definitely a tonewheel organ that can esily compete with all other free organ plugins and even most paid ones.
I love the physical modeling sounds and drum sounds. The demo songs are also nice. Thank you.
top tier analogue generators with complex and in-depth ideas.
Wow, I'd never Quilcom before, how fantastic, makes you want to have a go on a Saturday night! ;D
Hey thanks for featuring some of my stuff. I love the video!
I’m worried about the B2-Kick not loading though. What DAW are you using?

Rex rocks
Indeed!
love these plugins!!! and i think all of his plugins are made in flowstone with schematic leaked 😱
To avoid cubase blocklisting them ensure vb redistributable 2013 is installed.
Super cool video mate 😎
If he would get some better design in the plugins and website I think he could work on this full time. It's worth more than to be free.
great video. the plugins sound good, but the UI, not so much lol
your tracks are bangin too
Yeah I agree 😅 I'm often mainly drawn to the ones that look decent
Quilcom Hmmmm not sure why I have never heard of them, looks like they make somr good stuff. Are they all free?
Yes! All free :)

The sounds also sound too poor, cmon guys there's alot of other free synth plugs doing much better jobs

Quilcom scks, they're making too many bad plugins instead of actually flushing one out and actually making it good
