As of July 2024, the video length has been updated to 3min. This doesn't mention streaming features... It streams to Facebook and Instagram. The issue with this is that if your signal isn't great, the resolution turns into garbage. This video doesn't mention the 'hey meta' voice prompt feature for the talk activated functions. Also the Meta AI is super smart and fun to talk to and play with. Audio is not loud enough to hear in loud environments like train stations or a car with windows open. The price is awesome though, considering the difference in price for regular Raybans that don't have electronics. I bought these on a whim and it turned out to be a very good purchase.
Just won a pair - pretty amazing - they also translated whatever I was looking at (English/Italian/Spanish/French/German) - was able to answer a math problem I wrote down - was able to answer a multiple choice question - hear/respond to txt msgs - make/receive calls - listen to all music apps since is basically a BT headset as well - v6 update now allows 3min vids 😎
Great video. You missed talking about doing sports with glasses and how the stabilization system behaves. I would like to see the glasses during a tennis match, for example.
That’s a really good point and might do a follow up video. It was getting pretty cold where I live and I don’t get to go snowboarding until December but might actually take it on the hills ! Thanks for the comment 🙌🏼

The light gives it away, i don't understand WHY they did that. If it didn't do that I would have gotten them long ago. This is an invaluable tool for recording while on vacation, but i don't want to be blinking and looking weird.
I bought rayban stories, just before the meda glasses came out. I retied and brought the glasses with me to the Philippines. It didn't even last 3 months. First, the audio stopped working, shortly after the video and the still shot camera. I bought the transition lens glass. It's just glasses now. Never abused or dropped them. Not very solid state tech.
As an avid golfer, I wish they had them made by Oakley. 😊. Looking at the return policy. I’m not if I want polarized lenses or prescription, maybe transition too. I’m with you on they need “magnetic charging”. My truck has the magnetic charging area in the console and it would be really beneficial to be able to drop the case on the charger while driving. Nice video, was interesting in these for awhile. Kinda depressing that they can only record 60sec videos. I thought I could use them to create some hands on content, but short bursts of 60sec clips might not cut it lol. Battery life also needs work for someone to record trips vlog style. With time I’m sure things will get better.

Your first con negates having just praised the charging case... if they switched to wireless charging, it'd be slow and inefficient. Why compromise when the glasses are literally inside the case? They made the absolutely correct choice.
My friend, the Meta AI assistant can do more than Google, or Siri, in terms of answering questions and remembering context. You could totally ask the weather and even more complex things, there are some limitations like directions. it’s still way way way way way smarter than Siri.

What country are you in? In the US there's the Meta AI feature and you can ask it all sorts of questions and get detailed responses. You can definitely get the weather from it. I think the AI feature is one of the most compelling things about these glasses but it's only available in the US currently.
I look forward to purchasing my pair of Ray Bans Meta smart glasses if for no other reason than to waer 'em to assist me with completing security task at work especially when surving building sites within parking stalls and stairwell cases... As there's little to no time at all for reaching for my smartphone to capture visual evidence that connects to written reports.
Good choice to wear with lenses. You can not change the lens after Ray-Ban has installed your prescription glass. So paying 600€ and after you eye value's will change you glcan get a new glass for 600€ 😂

Congratulations on the video. Can the Meta Ai of the glasses now be used like GPT Chat, that is, ask any question, on any subject, and receive the answer via audio? Example: I ask for a recipe, he answers me. I ask where to eat a good pizza in Miami, he answers me. I ask for updates on a certain conflict over Iran or Russia and he updates me.
Correction.... meta AI voice assistant does provide information like weather and can also do most AI commands like... Write me a letter or Google info.... All you need to say is Hey Meta and command.
“For the price”??? If you get just a regular polarized pair of Ray Bans you’d pay an average of $210. If the temples are carbon fiber that’s an extra $50. These Gen2’s are actually VERY affordable considering all the things you can do with it. I thought it’d be at least $500, but it starts at $299 and the highest is $379 So, scratch that comment. Also, it CAN tell you the weather and whatever else you need to know. You speak to META the same way you speak to Alexa. Battery use is 4-5 hours depending on use. The case, however, has 32 hours battery life which you did not mention. I have them and I’m very happy with them.

The US is conditional, because some states have single-party recording laws and some do not. All that aside, recording people without permission can end in some vicious social outcomes.
If you want META to spy on you buy it. If not you don't need this gadget. People don't understand that using it means giving location and all recorded images to META. Picture quality is very low for photos use proper camera with big lenses and sensor. For social media? Use smartphone and you can decide when to give location or block it and upload when you want and if you want. Using this gadget is giving permission to control your privacy more than before by META. And what you have in return what wasn't invented before? NOTHING AT ALL. You will pay 300 USD to let META spy on you much better than before. Zuckerberg is very clever here, but you ? 😆
They need a snap in replaceable battery with a spare included, so you can keep going all day. And you need instant feedback on images, so they really need to be sent to your phone immediately. Also the AI is totally useless as it stands. But it has the potential to be a lot better once they roll out their upgraded AI they've promised. But then again who believes big companies and their promises these days ? As they stand I find them a bit of a let down, though the audio is much better than anticipated.
The glasses do come with a lens cleaning cloth on the opposite side of where the instructions were placed in the box.

60 second record time is laughable. They literally make 1tb memory sticks now.. There is no excuse for them using a tiny amount of storage.

If your outside USA you don't get Meta ai unfortunately
4:42 what? Ibe transfered by folding in lots. Maybe you have to open it by folding it to make sure its on but you can wifi transfer while doing so
The transitions are nice. They are so clear you wouldn't know their translation. But then when they do go dark, there are darker than you'd think.
There are different levels in % of trasition lenses.
Can I ask about size ? Is the regular size they recommend on site a good size for a male or should i go the XXL what size are yours

I would like it to keep recording by it self and every 5 minute will restart recording and every 15 minute wil delete the videos if not saved manually

Should be decent. Another UA-camr did sound test with beanie on and he said it was better than using it open ear.

@JHsadler They transition very slowly so it takes time to be effective. They don't get very dark. They don't transition to dark while driving a car.
