A dream build would be one of those R34 nose conversions, all in Millenium Jade, probably some kinda Work wheels with the polished rims, set it up for kinda-spirited touring, maybe see some of the country in it. :) Kinda been in love with the idea since Benny and Al and the MCM guys did their 'Double Unicorn' build some years ago now. :) But I guess the thing is they get pretty fuel-hungry if you go for big power cause heavy. Anyway, you're not really the one putting that car on the chopping block cause Mr. Alfa there needs some of it, so that's going to *two* cars. (And, you know, maybe someone's got a nice but rotted Stagea of that kinda spec that needs a re-shell? I dunno.)

I feel the whole parts car vibe. I've had 2 of my old cars go to be parts cars, old Audi UR-Quattro and an Evo6. As sad as it is to see them go, the Evo especially... I had my enjoyment out of them, they lived, they had a good run of it, and were used as they were supposed to be. I guess its no different than carrying a donor card. better that they go on to keep other projects alive than be fully resigned to the scrap heap.

Should you keep it, it would make for an awesome family wagon build, but if you got a lot on your plate, with ongoing projects, should you get rid of it, part it out & try get some cash out of it by Up Garage.
Destroke that spare block summit! Drop it down to a 2.3 throw some big cams and big ports sucking through triple 50mm mikuni carbs and let that 33.4 sing to the sound of 9000rpm!
I think you need a double car lift at the bottom of the stairs in front of the compressor room! For your ready to go storage at an angle of course display style for those wicked draw you in thumbnails you like.
Swap the R34 front off the 33 and put it onto the stagea. Convert the 33 back to factory and rebuild that car as a R33. That'd be cool to see a refresh back to stock looking.
I’m the same way… it’s really weird knowing that someone bought this car… made all of these memories in it… and now it’s… dead… but as you said… sometimes the older cars need to go.. to keep the newer cars going! You should keep the stagea and use it as a family car… maybe R34 front end swap?
Gut the shell and take the parts to the place that buys parts. Take it all in credit so you get more $$$$ for your future projects. 👍👍 You can strip it and drop it all for recycling Get the most out of your $$

It is bittersweet to see a once driving car become a parts car but it lives on throughout all the other cars that are laying dead until it entered the story.
Take the Stagea shell put the 34 front end off the 33 on it and make the R33 stock again and put you an LS or a SR into the Stagea to make something different and cool Sam ! If you scrap the Stagea shell your CRAZY man ! Why not just make something really different out of it man !
I think sam.. You can keep the stagea if its road legal.... And throw any engine you have in storage... Or in other parts car... Dont leave the stagea... Interior is in mint condition... And it will be good daily car... Sr or ka could be a good engine.. Or k24...
I was so excited when I saw the thumbnail because the stagea is my dream car, I got sad when you said it was gonna just be a parts car but I can fully understand it if I could save every car I would but I also am just happy some of its parts are going to be saving other cars nothing bother me more then when people just scrap cars because you never know how many cars could be saved from the sacrifice of one.
Its always difficult with letting cars go. Have a tboned 01 a4 1.8t quattro that I really dont want to part out/sell though I know fixing wouldnt really be logical. Sucks.
Maybe find a junker V8 😅 - or any old engine and make a drift missile out of the Stagea. Would be a backup if you break the Chaser again lol. That way a none roadworthy Stagea gets some fun for it's last stage of it's life.
Yo Sam keep the Stagea shell and put the R34 front end off the 33 on the Stagea and switch the 33 back to the original front end and then you have 2 badass cars and you get to keep the R34 front and dont sacrifice the R33 again !

Mine went from a daily driver to a donor car for my r33. I miss the stagea every time i see another one. in fact i redesigned the standard issue plates the stagea came with because i couldn't let it go and they're on my daihatsu daily. You should invest in a decent sonic cleaner to help clean parts way easier than using truckloads of parts cleaner and scrubbing.

You should set the wagon up as a small parts car. How often do you need to pick up stuff and all you have are nice rides.
Fuel pumps don't like running empty, when you tank is empty and you run it with parts cleaner you fuel pump is not in a happy place 😁
