Wednesday mornings on UA-cam is my happy place! Hope you are both well. BS: You look really glowy & happy so you're doing something right. / BFL: I hope all went well & that you got good rest. I love anesthesia. Best sleep ever. My husband is one of those that's afraid that he will be one of the rare people that feel everything but can't say a word about it because they are under. When I was in 20s/30s/40s I would BRING ON the Rxs (I research everything; I live & work for the Big Pharma State aka NJ). After meeting my husband who was raised by an RN, now I am trying to stop taking as much as I used to. Doctors LOVE IT when you are older & you show up with a short list of meds...LOL. I am also a part of the generation where the MDs wanted the ladies off the birth control by 30 & I believe that is for a good reason. I had a Mirena in my late 30s & that was a bad doctor story (& that GYN was a woman). God bless ya if they work for any of ya'll; just saying to please be careful with those hormones. Speaking of GYNs, BFL's Mom story has me laughing my ass off. I can hear her; she reminds me of my ex-MIL...HAHA. Anyway, "This Pod Is The Best" & thanks for the ha-ha's & the sharing. I've been medically gaslit for 3 fucking years! I have lost all faith in the medical system and tbh I didn't trust them to begin with. But the way I've been treated makes me sick. I love you guys so much! Thanks for always talking about real shit!.❤ but really, I wish I could find a dr who would just listen to me and help!
Holistic/integrative/functional medicine dr or start with a really good biomedical naturopath. This happened to me too for years until I found a doctor who actually paid attention to root cause medicine
I have literally just experienced this. I caught my doctor in a lie and also using some thing I told them in confidence against me. My doctor also called up my private counsellor who I pay for to complain about me. The healthcare system is fucked in Canada also

People get so hurt that they decide to be polygamous so they can have multiple partners and feel as though they aren’t cheating. Ive seen this so many times and I think I’ve met only 1 person who it’s gone well for as they don’t feel the jealousy. Every other person has had a wrecked relationship.
I had a general anesthesia c section in 1992. I woke during the surgery while they were lifting the baby out of me. I heard a nurse say awww it’s a girl , saw the anesthesiologist look into my face , and then I was quickly out again. It was weird .
I had three more c sections after but I had only spinal anesthesia for those. I had endoscopy recently and they usually give a heavy intervenous dose of Benadryl which is a nice and easy and comfortable way of going under. I get nausea also - I always tell me surgical team this and they give me medication to avoid that now

Also the anesthesia will be more of a twilight sedation not like when you had your jaw surgery which was general anesthesia and can make patients nauseous.
As far as feeling sick after anesthesia---very common. Ask your surgeon to prescribe you or give you an anti-nausea drug, maybe. Also, anesthesia has gotten better since 2001--not as many complications.

I had kidney failure the exact same way! I was then given antibiotics that I was allergic to. My blood pressure at one time was 200/110 at one point. I carry test strips with me too.
I had the same with a UTI. Zero symptoms that you’d normally get but I had a this pain cramps feeling in the side of my stomach for weeks but I stupidly ignored it eventually it got so bad I thought my appendix had burst so I went to hospital and it turned out it was a UTI that went to my kidneys because it was untreated
Exactly same feeling! So crazy right?!! Ughhh
When I was 13 or 14 I had to go to the gynecologist with my mom bc I had tried using tampons for the first time and then couldn’t get the tampon out. It got stuck on a loop. The doctor had to snip a piece of skin or something up there. It was awful!

Brittany! dont even trip! i have some weird gene that i take a lot to be put under and i have woken up during surgery 2x but i dont remember it really and if you do they just knock you back out. i swear you will be ok! good luck!! 🎉

I went for a colonoscopy and I told them that I did not want Fentanyl which was one of the drugs they used. So the day of they started the drugs and I yelled and said No Fentanyl so they stopped, gave me Benadryl and started the procedure. I Was awake for the whole procedure and let me tell you the gas they put in there was pain I can't describe. I hope everything goes well for you.
