Just saw the Lips for the second time last week in Atlanta and it was even better than my first time in Charlotte. I cried tears of joy and sadness along with singing and dancing along. It really got me in the feels this time. My sister went with me and she had never heard any of their music and even as an avid modern indie/ pop fan she really enjoyed it and was pretty blown away.
Sounds like an awesome experience! I'm jealous lol! They've been killing it lately, they sound the best they have in years and their setlists have been on point. Glad you had a good time. I'm hoping they come back to Australia in the near future so I can catch them live.
Amazing set and I love the frog costumes! Reminds me of my favorite super duper bipedal amphibian cryptid, The Loveland Frog. I wrote a song about him as part of my upcoming cryptid-themed concept album (to be released under my music project name The Strange Hours), and he will also be making an appearance in the album art, alongside his buddies Mothman and The Dover Demon. Couldn't resist a little shameless self-promotion!
