Hope mum has a very speedy recovery my friend. I am going into Liverpool Hospital within a month for Major L4/5 S1 Spinal fussion I had one when I was younger just after being sworn in. Just very blood worried now at my age.

Ayy top vid! Poor Stella though! Also yes, I think I remembered the day that the wind just randomly picked up outta nowehere. I was fishing a wharf and it went from a nice calm evening to a massive windstorm! The river basically resembled the ocean with the amount of waves coming through
That was insane Grimmie, I wasn't exaggerating when I said it came out of nowhere and I am so glad I have footage to prove it happened in mere seconds otherwise no one would have believed it haha

I like the videos bro, but I feel like you do more bait in the winter months. I’m going to try hover strolling lures this winter as it’s very slow. There’s also chaserbaits Krusty crab which is very slow retrieve. I usually do Ned rigs but they snag so easy haha
How do you not gut hook the bream using those small hooks? I had trouble all the time when i used to night fish using offset circle hooks and 80% gut hooked, I have inline circle hooks now but im scared to kill more beautiful bream, does having the line have no slack help?
The hooks I'm using are long shanked hooks and I do still guthook but it's definitely helped immensely. If they swallow it, just cut the line and let them swim. They still have a very high chance of survival and will spit it out later

shroom when using j hooks do you need to set the hook when you have a bite or do you need to get the right size j hook for whatever your targeting
both. You need the right sized hook, and you need to strike when a fish bites or it may not end up piercing the lip. I know that J and circle hooks are "strikeless" but waiting for fish to hook themselves will probably cost you many, either missed altogether or lost in the fight. When striking, set the hook solidly and firmly, don't try to rip the fish out of the water.

Thanks a lot, I don't know about big jewfish, (metre plus) I might have to go into Hawkesbury river for that but there's usually the odd jewfish video every once in a while 👍

Night time fishing helps but really you can't exactly remove them from the equation if they are around. Colder months help too
