I feel like when you're looking for things this small you can easily mistake a real ID for a fake one. Plastic cards are always cheaply made regardless of who makes them so real ones surely might have pealing liminate or creases

When New York still had the garbage paperish feeling ones my girlfriend and I went to a concert in PA and a bouncer took her ID because he thought it was fake because “it’s not supposed to feel like paper” we had to actually call the police to come because threatening to call the police wasn’t enough and he was dead set on not giving it back because he was convinced it was fake. It was absolutely ridiculous

Why do american bouncers and cashiers care so much? In my country you can buy a bottle of vodka at 10 years old and no one cares lol (I know because I was drinking vodka at 10)
DMV cameras do flash and you can see it in the ID picture. Also, the overlay laminate used on real ID's can and very often does start peeling with age / wear and tear. Government issued ID's are NOT made of magic material that is invincible, it's plastic, it can definitely peel and have damage / slight discoloration from age and use. Just like anything else.
Wait till you see a new real Idaho license. It's literally worse than the free place holders that come in new wallets. It's paper and isn't even laminated. Thinner than a credit card.
My friend worked as a bartender for a few years here in North Carolina. In NC, if you renew your ID 6 months before turning 21, you'll be given a vertical ID that won't expire for ~8 years. Nobody fakes a vertical ID. virtually every fake ID she saw was horizontal. If you want to fake an ID, get a vertical one. I'm 22 so it doesnt matter to me.
We should be demanding states produce better quality ID with our taxes fr. My new one is SHIT quality. The guy running the cam at the DMV is easily 70+ and does not give a fuck about his job apparently. Seen so many bad pictures from that location. But it seems to be a nationwide issue.
