Not to say the rest of the guys weren't talented, but they weren't any better than the others, Sebastian was truly special.
Skid Row was successful BECAUSE OF Sebastian, by his vocals, looks and attitude. He was the one hanging out with the best. Obviously have great songs but with Sebastian could do at that time at 19 years was mind blowing!! And the best bands of the time recognized Sebastian .
Live he can fkn sing and if you go watch their British concert when they toured after hitting big. His singing was amazing and it still blows me away today
Sebastian is a handful. He’s filterless. He’s more talented than anybody’s is allowed to be and we love him. He also knows he can still sing those same songs that he has for 35 years with or without them.
That’s the whole problem. He’s a handful and everybody’s tired of it. He antagonizes people if he changes that he’d be perfect and they probably could have a reunion.

If Snake says Bach is a jackass then based on all the people who sing high praise of Snake Sabo I’d believe it.
Snake Sabo is the real deal. He’s also a businessman and successful road manager (he’s managed multiple Zakk Wylde/BLS tours. Bach shouldn’t have signed his publishing rights over to Jon Bon Jovi 🤷🏻♂️

Bach is a knob head. He is an amazing singer and they didn't recover after him and they knew they wouldn't, but a saint couldn't stick the guy. Hands down one of the worst divas in the industry.
This is another example of young talented guys that caught lightning in a bottle but didn't have enough maturity by understanding or guidance to see through the valleys of a musical career.. Aerosmith Black Sabbath all the greats I've always had issues look at the Rolling Stones The Who Etc they all saw through the crap and grinded on for the greater good of the band the fans and their income.
There is a guy on YT, Henning Pauly who did an entire album back in 2005 and hired Bach to sing on it. Bach tried to claim it was his solo album when in reality it was Henning's album with Bach a hired gun. I think Henning said Bach attempted to or did sue him over royalties. I remember Henning saying Bach is a great singer but a POS human being.
That "Frameshift" album is amazingly good, but one can definitely tell it was NOT the brainchild of Bach. He's just no where near that good a musician or writer.
I believe Eddie best coined the phrase when asked about why Van Halen broke up. He said Roth suffers from LSD, Lead Singers Disease. Egos are fed by success and sometimes you forget the hard work and collaboration and enjoyment it took when you were unknown.
But then Sammy left under the same circumstances and took Michael Anthony with him. Seems Eddie was the common denominator and his ego was the problem. The only people that didn’t leave were his brother and son.
In an interview, one of their producers, i think Wagener, said Bach confronted him years later. "You stole my publishing," Bach said. The producer had to tell him that he didnt have any publishing because he never wrote any songs. Million-dollar voice and a ten-cent bran.
Doc McGhee told him that on that show Supergroup he was on, when Bach was whining about it, and he was talking about the only album he produced for them which was the self titled. Bach gets no credits for Skid Row the first album only. Doc was like you don't get any publishing if you don't write anything. He had a slight credit on Makin' a Mess. The cd says slight credit.
I attended a Skid Row show In the mid or late 90s , right before the wheels fell off. It was crazy seeing a platinum selling band playing for a crowd of maybe 300 in a building with 3,000 seat capacity. There was hardly anyone there. I felt embarrassed for the band but it was a great show.
There’s no love lost whatsoever between Skid Row and Sebastian Bach, it’s really sad, because they had chemistry musically and yes they had their differences, but if the two camps can’t work with each other, what’s the point.
I saw him a few years ago in Edmonton. Super friendly and his voice is still amazing. It was a great experience. Also, he still has that beautiful head of hair.
Go see Sebastian Bach live. He just loves to sing and play music. I saw him after Skid row break up and was blown away. Bach is a true rocker. Music is all that matters. He really doesn’t care about money. Always a great show and he’s awesome.
Bach looks like that grandma that smokes three packs a day, drinks heavily, but flaunts around like she's a sexy 20 year old because she got her hair done.
Just saw Sebastian on the "80s Cruise. The highlight was his one hour interview for the audience a day or so after the show, and he kept us in stitches for 60 straight minutes, absolute stitches. I'm more of a Nirvana/Pixies fan, but holy crap is this man an unbelievable talent. Had to be there to see it; his comedic timing is the best I've seen, he is a master showman.

@@rayfabris2512 that's exactly the show I judged him from, not to mention the time he threw the bottle back in the crowd and hit some girl in the face, who later sued him. He was so childish on that show, and even as egotistical as Ted is, and he couldn't get along with him! He's very childish!
Saw Skid Row in 1990 open up for Aerosmith in Sacramento California. After the show me and a friend were walking in the parking lot when an old Ford Pinto drove up next to us. A long haired guy that was driving asked us if we knew where the nearest strip bar was. I bent down to talk to them and saw Sebastian Bach in the passenger seat, I'll never forget it.
As a professional Hard Rock singer, I can tell you the things he did vocally were absolutely next level. No one can touch him. The closest anyone has come is Lzzy Hale but no male singers. I can get extremely technical about it, but that would probably be a waste unless someone really knew about singing.
Sebastian Bach is a great singer, yeah, but what really makes him special is the beautiful clean voice then the aggressive singing with heat, freaking badass Heavy Metal voice the heat is on!
despite all the stupid drama out there Bach was the voice of that band and the voice that landed their biggest hits off those 1st 2 albums period........
should've would've could've. The only singer they brought in worth a shit was Tony Harnell. Fact is Bach was the vocalist that sang those hits and made them or rather helped to make the band that cash. Just like Perry is Journey period nSchon is just a dick.
He's an amazing talented singer ! I saw him on the Hard Rock Cafè ,he don't need of the original skid row band mates or anything but good musicians for that matter cause his voice is what drives the audience! Metal Mike was on guitar at that time I attended the concert. I just can say WOW ! His voice is unique! And all the skid row band members know and knew that...they never get the fame they reached when Sebastian was on the band . Sad but true !
Sorry, but the band (besides the drummer) are really up themselves. It started with Bach doing a deal with Kiss, thinking everyone would be really happy (he should have consulted first, but the band thought they were too important to play with the legends that are Kiss. Big as Skid Row were, they are full of themselves for thinking this). Bach was understandably pissed, as was the band, and Bach shouldn't have left a rude message. But it was just a fight. That's all, and it happens to everyone. And they band says they don't care about the fans, it's about them being happy. That's really disrespectful to us fans. We made them what they are, and when they fired Bach, they've pretty much dropped off the map. They should at least get together to do re masters of those first 3 albums, but the band just won't. And when touring, they don't even have to talk to each other or hang out. Many bands do this because they don't get on. Again, the band doesn't care and won't do it. Bach has come out on a few occasions and stated he would work with them again. The band members need to get their act together and stop being selfish.... and its not like they won't make a stack of cash. Anyway, rant over. Sorry for that, but as a big fan, I feel disrespected and sort of cheated. What do you all think?
He didn't say he didn't care about the fans, he said he didn't want to play with Bach for the good of his mental health. It's easy to say that they don't have to talk to each other to tour, I say it's impossible, especially at the level they would do it, which would be theater level. I saw them at their peak, on the slave to the grind tour, and they were playing 4000 seats arenas. So even if Bach come back, that won't put them back in 10,000 seats arena. No, if they don't want to play with him, that's their choice, big deal, there's bunch of other bands out there to listen too. It's hard to play in a band with someone you don't get along with, unless you are super huge, and make shit load of cash, which won't be their case. It's not worth it for them, and I get it.
Or Baz broke Snakes heart or he sold his soul to the devil. Nothing else makes sense after 30 years. They should really grow up and get back together. They owe it to the fans, we made them who they are. They should be more humble. The fans want Baz, get your asses together, C'mon.
I loved early Skid Row and we all know lead singers can get a bit large headed. But they were great for their time... Soundgarden opened for Skid Row a couple times, and we saw where music went after that... For me that ended up being the best. Times change and music changes.
Sebastian used to look 10 years younger than me now he looks ten years older than me and I'm 62 but I only drink one beer whenever I do drink and smoked weed occasionally
You are just wrong. The other guys should bow down and be lucky. Other than Sebastian. I could hire anyone to play guitar and drums you can't hire a singer like Sebastian.
@@markwerdebaugh6202 Maybe Sebastian should bow down to them for hiring him in the first place, if they hadn't done that, we'd never even know who Bach was.
The bad part about rock ‘n’ roll stars is that when you come across a Tom Brady Michael Jordon or Joe Montana (Sebastian, Bach, Rob Halford or Steve Perry..the rest of the team can’t just vote him out because they don’t like him for some reason. Because without them men, they’re just like every other band or team out there, and they need those men to reach the levels. They would never be able to without them.
If he's half as irritating in real life as he was on the Trailer Park Boys, I'm surprised they didn't drive off while he was taking a piss on the side of a highway in the middle of nowhere.
It sounds ridiculous to say, but as the vocalist in a STP tribute, I’ve run into the same problems. If you want the best musicians, they expect to be paid to rehearse and a minimum for shows as if they are “session” guys. People: this is why most unsigned bands suck that you see locally or in clubs. It’s economics.
There should be a badass metal Dr. Phil type "therapist" to help many bands resolve issues and mend relationships. Would make an interesting reality show at the very least.
They played off of Sebastian’s voice so well. They matched his passion, which is hard to do. Those guys are such amazing musicians and song writers, and made such great music together, but without his presence, something is definitely missing. They won’t ever be able to recreate their magic with anyone else. It was such a special partnership. It’s a shame ego got in the way.
In 96 Skid Row were not too big as an opener for Kiss, which had one of the biggest tours in the mid 90’s. Look at where the ended up after firing Sebastian!

@@giraffesareselfish9563 Ok......Maybe top 10. I can't put him ahead of Dio. Ozzy. Rob Halford. Bruce Dickinson. Dave Mustaine. All legends. All obviously with more longevity and in way better bands. Even though I'm not a huge Skid Row fan I appreciate them. Bach can wail, for sure but not the best of all time.
@ShawnConrad-tw8du Ozzy? Come on man, you're going to put Ozzy in that group as far as singing goes? There is absolutely nothing impressive about Ozzie's vocal abilities. He's not a bad singer but to even put him in the same conversation as Sebastian Bach, Halford, etc,
@@giraffesareselfish9563Personally I can take or leave Ozzy. Sabbath was the sum of all four members and the early songs that made them legendary. Not just Ozzy and his average singing abilities. Bach is good but he's not the greatest. Or even top 5. Top 10 maybe but that's all I can concede.

He was really good looking, but to me the sexiest of all time was Jon Bon Jovi.

I was a BIG fan of Skid Row back in the 80's but now today Skid Row will never be Awesome without Sebastian Bach ever again!!
Without Sebastian, Skid Row was just another hard rock band. As far as lead vocalist go, Sebastian is one of the best ever and he was the difference between Skid Row and all the others.

Truth! I went to see them in the 90's when they opened for Pantera and it was absolutely unforgettable.
Sebastin Bach made Skid Row! ❤SB is Skid Row
Sebastian is a handful. He’s filterless. He’s more talented than anybody’s is allowed to be and we love him. They were kids back then and I think he would do better now - especially for a single reunion tour - he wants it so bad. He also knows he can still sing those same songs that he has for 35 years with or without them.
That’s the whole problem. He’s a handful and everybody’s tired of it. He antagonizes people if he changes that he’d be perfect and they probably could have a reunion.

Snake Sabo is in rock circles one of the most popular and well liked musicians. I mean everybody likes the guy. Even an executive from Skid Row’s old label wrote of Snake’s thoughtfulness when her parent died and he attended the wake. She wrote he was a totally great guy and a class act. If Snake says Bach is a jackass then based on all the people who sing high praise of Snake Sabo I’d believe it.
Snake is a GREAT guitarist. Highly underrated.
Sabo never cared about the fans or being rich. Two diffrent personalities, Bach and Snake.
Snake Sabo is the real deal. He’s also a businessman and successful road manager (he’s managed multiple Zakk Wylde/BLS tours. Bach shouldn’t have signed his publishing rights over to Jon Bon Jovi 🤷🏻♂️

There is a guy on YT, Henning Pauly who did an entire album back in 2005 and hired Bach to sing on it. Bach tried to claim it was his solo album when in reality it was Henning's album with Bach a hired gun. I think Henning said Bach attempted to or did sue him over royalties. Bach is Skid Row. Without him Im not interested in the band. They just dont really matter, they weren't the star of the show.
In an interview, one of their producers, i think Wagener, said Bach confronted him years later. "You stole my publishing," Bach said. The producer had to tell him that he didnt have any publishing because he never wrote any songs. Million-dollar voice and a ten-cent bran.
So , Michael Wagener said SB never wrote ANY songs ? What an thieving, deceptive industry .. I don't disbelieve Sebastian, He wrote MAM.
So glad Stevie Ray Vaughan just wanted to play music. And what a mighty job he did.

I got into a small argument with Bach on Twitter and of course was banned. Arrogant is an understatement and clueless about reality.
I saw them open for BonJovi in Philadelphia in 1989. I remember it well. The 18 and Life era 💗

I think you make some good points but I bet there’s a shit ton that went on that we don’t know about.
Or Baz broke Snakes heart or he sold his soul to the devil. Nothing else makes sense after 30 years. They should really grow up and get back together. They owe it to the fans, we made them who they are. They should be more humble. The fans want Baz, get your asses together, C'mon.
You sound like a slave driver.

I loved early Skid Row and we all know lead singers can get a bit large headed. But they were great for their time... Soundgarden opened for Skid Row a couple times, and we saw where music went after that... For me that ended up being the best. Times change and music changes.

It sounds ridiculous to say, but as the vocalist in a STP tribute, I’ve run into the same problems. If you want the best musicians, they expect to be paid to rehearse and a minimum for shows as if they are “session” guys.
