Suck couldn't find this version of Night Slasher X only the Re-Balanced version. Ash looks kooler in this version and they have the Scooby-Doo Doo van like they took out what made this game look more over all interesting.

Well there's few annoying bugs that make this game hard. For example ridding on the top of the mistery machine - you fall and you loose all your lives -why? Game gets stuck randomly. Etc.
@@letsplayagame226 The mystery machine stage is a Bonus stage, originally it did not feature characters splatting on the pavement, someone coded that in, but it seems that the code affects characters in this weird fashion. I'm not that good at making or modifying scripts, so i decided to leave the splats for the sake of realism. Also i kind of like games that torture players a bit (TMNT manhattan project, Battletoads) so its a weird & accidental twist of a Bonus level that punishes a bit & forces you to be a bit clever... Either way, the game has a save & load feature freezes, I have only experienced a complete game freeze using Cristopher, all life was depleted, & i made a "counter' move that allowed me to stay standing. unfortunately the engine itself has some problems, for example: the elevator has directional issues in the newest stable build, 4 player support is a bit broken in many ways & when it comes to the continue countdown , its especially bad if one of the players decides not to play anymore. DC says that is going to be fixed on the next OpenBOR release, but i hope it does not break other things ion the process. Either way , this game in particular , its OG modder, & myself have a weird relation to the Chronocrash community, what i need is a good ally that knows hot to do script to add more weird things to the game, because a lot of the things i want to add or fix are so odd, that others there have not been able to help

You don't unlock him - you need to download the version of the game with Ash.
On the play select screen, cycle through the characters until you get the painting. That's Ash.
