Awesome tutorial Dave! I was not sure if this one could handle brushless without replacing the gears. Nice to see that you think it'll work. The kit looks great and $52 USD for all the electronics is a steal. I may have to purchase it for mine. Love that it comes with an aluminium steering horn. Can't wait to see the speed run. I bet it'll be 3x as fast on 3s brushless than the stock setup. Looking forward to the speed runs.
Thanks for watching Ryan, I think for the low price its a decent brushless kit for these WLtoys 18th Scale RC's. It would be very hard to buy the cheapest brushless parts individually and also a transmitter and receiver as well for cheaper!

Hi there!! Awesome build! Is it necessary to make the metal upgrade on this RC buggy? Metal spur and pinion, metal differentials, etc. Would the A959 metal upgrades fit this car? With this brushless kit, can I run 3s Lipo or stay with the 2s Lipo? Your help will be highly appreciated! Have a nice day!
It’s not necessary to do the metal upgrades to this buggy, I didn’t on this one but you could if you really wanted to, thanks for watching👍

Hi Roy thanks for watching and supporting my channel, this motor is smaller than the 390 brushed can and is a 2835 size motor with a 2mm shaft yep. 👍

Yeah I still haven't got around to it yet, have had many new products to get done on the channel and been busy with work and other projects atm.

No you don't have to if you do not want to. Just personal preference if you want to program so e of the parameters you can with a program card

Motor is waterproof but not sure about the servo, probably only splash proof

No I didn't bother, I sold the rc
what can we do with the turning circle on these cars? ie. make it better?
More throttle.
On the stock controller there is no dual rates, but tbh there's no real issue with the turning circle on this small wheel base rc car. Thanks for watching.

Hey. Im wondering what is the speed is the top speed now after this upgrade
I did go to test it soon after this video but the esc started acting up and got hot then stopped working unfortunately so I threw the motor in another box RC truck and use the transmitter and receiver with it as well. Thanks for watching mate👍

I have the same kit as this and the motor just keeps making a beeping noise ? The steering servo works fine but the motor does nothing but beep any ideas to fix this please ???
Sound's like it could be the ESC and not the motor. Try making sure your throttle trim is turned up to full.

Easy it’s self bound to the transmitter provided in the kit as soon as I powered the car on

I did happen to film a follow up video soon after making this one but half the video files on my sd card were corrupt and after a few runs of this car the esc eventually failed on 3s, mainly due to it not having a fan I think to cool it down, motor ran well and fairly quick though, so no I didn’t bother trying to film another video since.

Yes on 2s it ran well and had good performance but I wouldn’t recommend running 3s on it like I had done. The transmitter and receiver work well also, I have now used the transmitter on and receiver on another rc truck and it has decent range and response, overall for the low price of this total kit it’s not bad value for what you pay.

i guess its possible as it is based on the same platform as the a959 and a959b

Ah I guess it could be possible but you'd have to use the 144001 motor mount and pinion of course. This kit is made more for these 18 scale wltoys RC's. Thanks for watching mate👍

No sorry I don't have any videos but it was quick, you can see it balloons the tyres on just a 2s lipo near at the end of this video
I trusted your video and bought the same, I got latterly rubbish and scam by bangood.
The ESC doesn't work at all. Servo has problems, broken transmitter.
That's terrible mate, I has no issues at all with mine, you are liable for a full refund from banggood, just contact customer support and show em evidence of your issues
