- Israel is claiming that Hamas has lost control of the north of the Gaza Strip after weeks of intensive Israeli bombardment.
Now the BBC's international editor Jeremy Bowen has travelled with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) into Gaza.
While the BBC had editorial control of the report, the section with the IDF has been viewed by them.
The IDF showed the BBC what they said was a Hamas weapons factory, below a home in which children lived.
The area which the BBC was shown was a wasteland, with every building badly damaged or destroyed.

So, when some random Palestinian claims Israel has targeted bakeries, that is taken as a fact without reservation in your reports; when IDF claims it found a weapons factory, then you don't miss to add "according to them."
We saw footage of bakery's bombed. That can't be faked. But equipment can be placed anywhere pretty easily. Also Israel has a history of lies. I don't trust liars.

If the human shields are doing so voluntarily the Geneva Convention considers them equivalent to the combatants. Go ahead and read it, yourselves.
