    I agree with the always having a manual pump as a back up! I keep one in my car.

    The Elvie pump for m!. There are 7 intensity levels, so you can find which is right for you. Elvie comes with a full extra set of parts/bottles so you have everything you need right out of the box, especially useful for busy moms who don’t have a ton of time to wash parts. It also lets you toggle between letdown and expression mode, which I have read the other hands free pumps do not.

    These videos are so useful. I used the medela with my first 2, spectra with my 3rd (I didn't like it!) And am going to be in a situation after baby #4 is born where a private spot to pump isn't guaranteed. Your videos are helping me make an informed choice

    Lol, loved the suction to the face. I didn't see the "card" for the Elvie vs. ___ pump in your video

    I'm curious why you recommended the Spectra S1 for working moms vs the Motif Luna for stay-at-home moms. In your comparison video of these pumps, I did not notice any specific features that would make one better for one situation vs the other.

      Observant! No particular reason actually. The pumps are essentially interchangeably. I think I mentioned both pumps in both videos? I can’t remember now 🙈 but yes, either would work well for either scenario in my opinion.

    What kind of bottle would you recommend that would be less likely to cause nipple confusion? Or nipple preference?

    Would u recommend baby buddha for a first time mum? I would really love to have a portable pump for work but afraid of the strong suction of BB. Thanks in advance 😊

    Would you recommend the elvie stride for working moms? I don’t mind the tubing showing, I just want to cups to be able to be hidden.

    I'm a little overwhelmed with all the bags I will have to carry to work 😵 lol. I have a work tote that I carry my lunchbox and umbrella in, and sometimes shove my purse into, instead of carrying it separately. I assume I will just put all my purse stuff into my diaper backpack, but then I need a breast pump bag, too? I'm going to need to start doing arm and back exercises in preparation now! Or do I put the breast pump items in the diaper bag?? I'm sure I'm overthinking this.

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  3 роки тому

      I would get ONE bag to carry everything! Definitely consolidate if you can :) you probably won’t need baby stuff/diaper bag and your pump in the same outing unless your exclusively pumping right? I know.. it’s a lot! But it becomes second nature quite quickly :)

      @@NewLittleLife thank you for your quick response! I guess I was thinking I would still need to bring the diaper bag, even though I would be dropping my baby off for daycare and picking then up after work? Or maybe I don't need it for the 45 minutes to an hour of total driving each work day, I don't know 🤦😂 lol.

      Y’a just keep a couple diapers and wipes in your car 😉 shouldn’t need much more than that!

      No worries!! No silly questions here, I remember the feeling of being totally clueless about the logistics of baby life as a first time pregnant mom. We’re all in this together!

    When is it appropriate to bump up suction? In let down mode? What about bumping to discomfort and then back off one? Is it okay to fluctuate suction throughout pumping based on that specific session?

    Is there a video comparison of medela manual pump & spectra manual pump? Or any manual pump 😂 do they make sound?

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  2 роки тому

      No sound, they’re all very similar. There is no motor so it’s just a hand squeeze!

    Apart from the size of the pump, which would you recommend for at work and home use- Spectra s1, Luna motif or Medela freestyle?
    I'm planning on buying my first pump and I want to buy one that will be my go to for every use I need.

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  3 роки тому +1

      I love the Luna motif. Such a fantastic pump. If smaller is more important to you, Medela freestyle is good too. I also love spectra 1, but the Luna is smaller than that and SUCH an effective pump for almost everyone. Would be the only pump you’d ever need.
