You said ghost baits are for bright daylight conditions and not really night fishing....but during those super bright nights with a really bright moon and no clouds when they won't bite anything flashy or painted, I've destroyed on ghost baits. Me and two buddies fished for hours with normal stuff and finally I threw on a ghost bait. It was one after another.
Seth, can you look at a topo map of lac qui parle lake and give me your best ideas on it? its the closest lake to my place so i fish it alot but i just cant seem to locate the damn walleyes. Ive tried every trick youve given me...shallows at night,,,bouncing jigs by the rocks...its a tough lake. deepest it gets is like 13ft to 15ft...when the water is high it will get to 20ft under the milan bridge...any ideas for me??

Chuck D he also said a bright night can be treated just like daylight, which sounds like the right advice based on what you had happen
I dint remember exactly what he said but he said something that sort of contradicted your statement so I'd figured I'd share my experience.
Dude...I always have had way better luck quartering the shore line and fan casting as parrellel to shore as possible
