My blood ran cold watching you swim there. Salties love fresh water too, and can get to places you wouldn't expect as they can migrate when systems flood in the wet season. Be Crocwise!
Thanks for your comment, learning a lot that we will carry with us in the future. Seems we were very silly and extremely lucky. First and last time. Cheers, Josh
Another exciting adventure. What a wonderful spot you found up the river. Without the fear of crocs and your friend Brian, it appeared to be a magnificent clothing optional spot. At times I didn't feel you were being as cautious of crocs as I would have hoped, but the posting of this video assures me it all came out alright. I eagerly await the next chapter in this wonderful adventure. Stay safe. ❤🙏
Hey Steve, yeah we realise we needed to be far more Croc aware whilst visiting here. Lucky we made it out and can learn from our mistakes! Cheers mate, Josh
Hey, team, I enjoyed this vlog It looks like you guys are having an incredible adventure! Meeting Brett must have been a game changer for you, especially with his insights from Vanuatu’s elders. Discovering fresh spring water in crocodile territory definitely adds an exhilarating twist! And learning to cut open coconuts and fish in the wild? That’s not just about survival; it’s a deep dive into the local culture and wisdom. It’s amazing how nature and friendship can teach us so much. Can’t wait to see how your journey unfolds keep soaking it all in!
I have fished all over this area and seen some really big Crocks. They tracked our boat as we put out crab pots. They destroyed most of the pots and then surfaced around the boat. I think you were very lucky to survive your trip. I don’t recommend swimming anywhere around That Area
Hi guys. We really enjoyed this episode. You're in our neck of the woods now and seeing you enjoy Hinchinbrook Island and surrounds really delight us. May I add, any experience, no matter how terrifying or stressful, that you A. Walk away from and B. Learn from is great. Like learning to walk when all you've done is crawl. And now it looks like you're ready to run. Oh, plus you learned that sailing by feel is better than relying on technology. Goid job. Well done. Keep up the good work. (Wayne) Townsville. Australia.
Great video guys. A little to scary for me to go swimming in those waters. Crocs are so quick and undetected till they are there! When in the Florida Keys I did see a few and I find them scary. I've also caught my lures a few times over the years in the prop and fortunately I was able to get them. Afterwards I shake my head and say what was I thinking, lol. It happens. You definitely are explorers and get along so well together! Our sailing season has just ended in the great lakes in Canada so I truly look forward to your adventures. Cheers from Lake Huron, Canada.
Hey John, yep we have learnt that we were not as cautious as we should have been. Will definitely know for next time. Hope you had a great sailing season and look forward to sharing some more of what we get up to! Cheers mate, Josh
Bad idea swimming there, if you can get a boat there crocs will be there. Even if you cant get a boat there crocs can still be there, salt or fresh water.
Sorry, I just have to say this. Your channel sucks. I've been wanting to say this for a long time. 😂 Every time I watch these episodes, I suffer a FOMO moment. Yeah that "fear of missing out." I'm not just saying this, but your channel is such a great channel, I wish I was there. And Phoebe, your diction during your times of V.o. is fantastic. You get your intonation in at the right places. There was something special about today's episode, that was, well, special. I just loved it. By the way, you can't out swim a croc. So if one showed up how would you defend yourself, in that amazing location.? I'm talking to you Josh. Crocs are maneaters, don't forget. 😮 hehe.!! Thank you for sharing. Great editing too. Atb from across the ditch. Cheers.
woooooooow.... as an aboriginal from a tribe not far from there I have to say you guys are absolutely insane swimming there... The level of carelessness and cluelessness displayed in this video has my wife and I in shock... And then to hear you talking about how you felt safer while being with that bloke because apparently he's done "some stuff" like that before is an inexcusable level of ignorance... You will have no one to blame except yourselves when one of you gets eaten because of this careless and reckless behaviour that you thought would be a good idea to film and put on youtube...smh You are well into croc country now and you if you keep this up you wont get away with it for long.... Please please please wake up.
Hey thanks for taking the time to watch and leave this comment. We appreciate your forthrightness, certainly have learnt a lot from YT comments that we should have researched before we went. We are always learning on this journey, very glad its from some stern YT comments rather than a harrowing experience. We will definitely be behaving differently next time we visit areas know to have crocs. Cheers mate, Josh
I would encourage more people to get off their couch and keyboard and get on the water in 2025. Living on the water is not for sissies - but it's a thousand times more exciting and rewarding than suburbia.

Hey Wayne, couldn't agree more mate. Always learning. We were glad to walk away from this one and know more for next time. Cheers mate, Josh
The last person to get taken by a croc in that area was in an inflatable a similar size to that one
Yes we have come to learn our mistakes and will not be making them again!
Josh

Croc bait
A croc pulled a guy out of a boat recently at cardwell

Bummer about not recording that section, Oh well, it happens, you'll just need to have a few more adventures "so you have something to record" 😉
Yes any living dinosaur?
We did not see any but that doesn't mean they weren't there!

so how did you know there weren't any crocs where you were swimming?? Those buggers scare the crap out of me! P
We were mistaken as we thought we were safe but we have learnt otherwise since posting this.. First and last time for us.
Josh
@@Thenewkidsonthedock yeah... I was getting pretty worried watching you guys...
