Drop test is not the right method. AAC blocks have low compresion strength (2.5 to 5 MPa (or 2.5 to 5 N/mm²)) while Solid blocks have 5 to 20 MPa (or 5 to 20 N/mm²). Due to this whenever beam settlment happens and fractional bending happens AAC blocks starts cracking. If block work starts cracking even before plastering.. then what kind of blocks are these ??
Better to go with Solid blocks or bricks, both are PROVEN. Let AAC built houses stand for 10 years, then we can go ahead. Have NOT seen any apartments built with AAC blocks ??? Please give refernces.

USE STEEL MESH OR FIBER MESH TO PREVENT CRACKS. DON'T USE NORMAL CEMENT USED FOR BRICKS INSTEAD USES AAC MORTAR FOR CONSTRUCTION.
Any test / data on permeability of ACC with respect to bricks, as this is reveal water flow / leakage rate. Since these are aeriated product with high porosity to lower weight.

Gypsum plastering is not recommended as it depriciate over time by weathering into powder/ skin peel off

No sir it’s not recommended.because steel members has to be embedded in column and baseplate has to be given 😊it is suitable only for framed structures 😊

Not recommended for load bearing structure.. very good for framed structure or high rise building
For every 1.5m ht belt beam has to be provided, as manufacturer recommended it. Even though I have observed more cracks in AAC than conventional bricks after 2 years of construction. Anchoring also disadvantages in AAC.

@@subash003 used chicken mesh also in commercial building, and adhesive for AAC bonding, still crack observed after 3 to 4 months construction. Followed as per manufacturer instructions.

@@subash003 will try in future if used... Using this much fiber mesh will costs more than conventional 🧱 brick work.
