    As someone who tilt queues a lot this helps to hear. Especially the part about some of the best people losing and gaining 100s of mmr without worry. I tilt queued and lost about 200 mmr over the past few times I've played so hopefully I can take all of this into mind and rebuild but more importantly improve. Great video!!

      Playing 4-5 hours a day wont help you improve faster, you'll fall into autopilot mode very quickly, Id probably recommend max 2 hour sessions

    Wow, here I am so scared about going down in my rank that I'm playing hardly any ranked games a season. I have a bit of things to explain, so I will do that.
    Last season I only got plat... but IN GENERAL, throughout my whole time I've played rocket league (for 4-5 years) I've played maybe 50 ranked games... all because I don't want to see myself get a gold rank... (which is outrageous by the way, I acknowledge that) So I get plat last season, I lose two games and I quit ranked, so I go back to what I did for the past 4-5 years, free play... I can do a decent amount of the flashing mechanics, triple resets, double reset musty's, and right now I'm trying to learn how to maktuf reset, which it is all coming along, but since, like you said, I grinded all those mechanics in freeplay, no wonder I can't hit a clip in game... even casual.
    Due to the lack of games, I did not gain that experience of doing those mechanics on defenders. If I were to record my free play, to someone who had no clue who I was, they would probably suspect GC. If I were to record any game, they'd think I'm a bot because all my mechanics leave me... So when you talked about the amount of games to put in a season, that really clicked for me. I'm doing a ton of workshop maps, and some training packs to get better, when I'm not even using what I learn because I'm scared of my rank...
    Sorry for the super long comment, but I wanted to share. Me looking back at my rocket league experience, I am a fool for letting a video game control me... So thank you for talking about that, it helped a lot! Next session, I'm gonna do at least my placements. Just like you said, the numbers really don't matter. And if I were to lose it, I'll just learn more anyway. Thank you! Have a blessed day!!

    • @MadNoisy
      @MadNoisy 4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for sharing. 🤘🤘
      I'm gold/plat and I don't mind the ranking too much anymore. But every time I'm back in plat, I'm planning to stay there for as long as possible and try to climb up.
      I normally warm up then do a few casuals and after that it's ranked. For me the best way at the moment. And I mainly watch the replays at the same day so I still remember the games I played.

    • @BoomaRL
      @BoomaRL  4 місяці тому +1

      Don’t apologize for sharing your experience, it’s difficult & different for everyone! Trust me I’ve been there too but as I said those numbers or ranks don’t define you as a player. In all reality yeah you could have GC mechanics but you’re at that rank because your lack of experience against opponents and game sense comes also with grinding the game. Don’t worry about it now you’ve achieved a different stage of learning so go apply it now and I guarantee you’ll rank up. Glad I could be an eye opener for you. Best of luck!

    Any tips on how to win in unpredictable lobbies? I was gc 3 but fell into gc 2 mayhem where its kinda impossible to predict the next play to be proactive. I did find a player who was flaming the people in the lobbies saying that they're all just ball chasers and they will get hardstuck here if they don't change. And a few days later he go SSL. Sooo any tips on how to beat ballchasers?

    • @BoomaRL
      @BoomaRL  4 місяці тому

      You’re not yapping. Some lobbies are down right just not winnable but that doesn’t mean you just give up. Ball chasers are some of the easiest to out play if you limit boost and don’t play into them or match their pace. You have to respect possessions so exhaust their touches and boost resource then play effective counter attack defense any SSL or GC3 should be able to out play a GC2 so with that being said you’ll need solid defense then quick transition to punish the over aggression. Best of luck

      @@BoomaRL I tried doing that and it did work I went from 1720 peak to 1800. But when the new season started I kinda slumped and fell down to 1500 which is just insane. They all suck and I'm so used to gc 3's that I can't play with these lower ranks. Is there any formula or strategy to get back to at least 1600? Also whenever I'm in higher ranked lobbies i play much better then when I'm in lower ranked lobbies. So do you know what pros and high ranked players do to make my life easier and destroy lobbies that are worse than them. that will also help a lot. ty

    • @BoomaRL
      @BoomaRL  3 місяці тому

      @@ialq4962 you literally have the answer in what you just typed, sure you might be capable of 1800 at the end of a season but last season was very inflated (I’m not trying to take that away from you at all) just saying if you’re struggling in 1500 then there’s clearly a gap there. You struggle to carry worse teammates which means at the end of the day your game can still be refined. If you’re truly 1800 you’d be able to stomp those lobbies regardless if you had a platinum player on your team. The unfortunate side is you have to understand simple fundamental RL enough to carry those games. Get out of the mindset of elo, MMR, and just think about the simple things you’re doing wrong causing you to lose in 1500. Pros don’t have a “secret” they are just THAT much better they probably would never lose a 1500 lobby unless their teammate played 3v1. Some times teammates are playing 3v1 unintentionally. Learning to win that game is a skill in the game as well.

    • @ialq4962
      @ialq4962 3 місяці тому +1

      @@BoomaRL So all I have to do is grind and learn fundamental concepts in the game. But the thing is whenever I do a replay analysis, I find some errors in my game and write them down with a couple of important fundamentals but can't seem to implement them into my game. I even sometimes know that I'm doing something wrong but still do it. I have like 24 different things to add to my game ,but I just can't Do it for some reason. I think if I add all of these things into my game and make them happen unconsciously I would easily be 1900+. Is there any thing I can do to make sure I nail them down?
      In terms of grinding I already have 300 games in the new season mostly 2s and a bit of 1s and I'm happy to continue. Is it better to play all day or play until I start sucking so bad? (Sorry for taking you're time on all of these questions but you've been a big help 😁)

    • @BoomaRL
      @BoomaRL  3 місяці тому

      @@ialq4962 you don’t gotta apologize bro and yes that’s literally the key. You’re just in the stage of learning where you still have to actively think about those things. The only key to successfully implementing them is making those mistakes over and over and over again over your thousands of hours and games until you just don’t have to think about it anymore. Something people don’t understand is your game sense & decision making in certain situations can become an automatic part of your game. KEEP GIRDING I promise you’ll get where you want to be.
