Weirdest Hotel in the World : Mondrian Hotel in Doha Qatar

This modern classic hotel, whose distinctive structure was built by SWA Architects, tells a great tale at every step. The Mondrian Doha in Qatar (2017) is a five-star hotel designed by Marcel Wanders and managed by SBE, a worldwide hospitality business, that draws on local expertise and uses new materials and methods. Each area of the hotel has its own personality, allowing visitors to create a collection of stories weaved around a central subject. The hotel's lobby and restaurants, as well as the royal penthouses, VIP apartments, suites, premium, and ordinary rooms, are all designed by Marcel Wanders. Local patterns, Arabic calligraphy, and old souks are reflected in bespoke designs. This most luxury and comprehensive hotel experience is enhanced by giant columns with golden eggs, a flower-filled ‘tree of life,' falcon video art, beautiful stained glass, and intricate mosaic tiling.
The Mondrian Hotel Doha has 211 rooms and 59 suites spread across 24 stories, all featuring Marcel Wanders' custom-designed furnishings and fittings, such as bathroom fixtures, bedroom wall murals, crystal chandelier & bathtub, and step-in Rain shower. Separate sitting and work desk spaces are provided, as well as a smart multimedia, telecommunications, and entertainment center, as well as 40-inch, LED televisions with complete cable access.
Morimoto is known for its magnificent design, Hiroshi Senju's artwork, and Chef Masaharu Morimoto's famous menu. CUT, the hallmark steakhouse of Michelin-starred chef Wolfgang Puck, makes its Qatar premiere, delivering the best quality meat and a comprehensive menu with Californian and Mediterranean culinary influences. This is what happened with the Mondrian Doha, a 5-star luxury hotel located next to the Zig Zag towers and on the gateway to The Pearl. This building was designed by Dutch artist Marcel Wanders and it´s a surprise in a city full of surprises.
The falcon shaped exterior of the hotel simply suits Doha´s landscape, as this 24-storey skyscraper rises with one of the most exotic designs in the Persian Gulf. However, it is its interior design that makes this place so particular. Every single room and facility of the hotel is a special world in itself. From the completely ivory white main lobby, the glamorous and stylish restaurants or the bizarre swimming pool area, which is considered one of the most beautiful swimming pools in the world.
