My BF is exactly what you describe here. There is nothing he can’t build, make or fix. He is the most non-lazy guy I know. He loves to be doing things and does drive a truck too, but so do I. 😊 He fishes, hunts (and guts his own deer), and changes my oil in my truck. He takes my work garb out to my truck every morning for me and opens the gate so I can get out. I was a new widow at 43 when we met and that was 12 years ago. He has always allowed me to talk about my late husband and has never felt threatened by that, which is really rare. But the best thing? He loves our dog and is very soft hearted and affectionate where she is concerned. I think that gets me the most about him. ❤

Thank you, Kimberly, for pointing out that vendor at the market. I, too, was very disappointed at my market in Knoxville when i saw the same thing. The vendor had boxes of tomatoes on a dolly with tomatoes logos all over the boxes. Not exactly the kind of box you’d take out to the garden and fill up. 😣😣 There are several of these vendors and sadly they get the biggest crowds and lines because they sell at a lower price. It’s getting harder and harder to not get jaded by the things we discover. But, thanks again!!

For me, a sexy man is one who is smart AND can do stuff. My husband has a PhD (not absolutely required in order to be smart, but sexy nonetheless.) AND he loves to get stuff done. Can build and fix and figure just about anything out. My favourite quote of his is "how tough can it be to figure that out?". In addition, I also find a man who takes good care of his body and health as he ages to be SUPER sexy! My husband is about to do his first Ironman at age 61! Feeling pretty lucky over here, but I was pickier when I chose him as my 2nd husband! ;-)

A sexy man has to have integrity, intelligence, compassion, able to fix anything, can balance a check book, is witty, a bit arrogant and comes with a built in gps system. I grew up with a mother who could do anything and a hard working father, both were children of immigrants who both had 10 brothers & sisters and early on in life they knew putting food on the table & a roof over their families head was a full time job. Excited to try this new line of skin products, my daughter will greatly appreciate that it's color coordinated. Great video Kimberly, a little bit of everything. We lost most men like that. The alpha male is now considered toxic which is a bunch of nonsense. We need alpha males. But after a few years of marriage, getting him to "fix" anything was a struggle. By far, my second husband was who I was most attracted to and found to be sexy. For me I love a man who makes me laugh, feel safe and comfortable with himself. He doesn't need to have a college degree but is and educated man. He reads and listens and make up his own mind. He never feels the need to impress anyone. My favorite fantasy man is Gregory Peck. The two movies that make me say "I want a man like that" is The Big County and To Kill a Mockingbird. He grew up working on a farm, was in the Army (82 airborne) and worked for the Forest Service since he was 22- then became a Ranger (lLaw Enforcement). KNEW how to do everything. He taught his 4 daughters (my sisters and mom) to do everything too. I'm grateful for that. Although, its hard to find a someone that can match that! It's very attractive to me also. Same here in Alabama. My Dad is 87 yrs old and he can still fix anything electrical, plumbing, rebuild an engine, etc. He grows the most beautiful gardens every year. I didn't understand when I bought my first house why my yard wasn't fit for a "Beautification" award just by cutting the grass. While he was a professional in finance, housing, and served many years as an Undersecretary in the Reagan administration, he learned how to fix anything from his father and carries those skills with him to this day. Being the oldest, I was fortunate to watch all of this growing up, and can pretty much figure out how to do or make anything. I always tell people (I am 61 and single) I'm not interested in any man who knows less than I do about home & car repairs, college football, or nascar. :) Without at least 2 of these qualities, I also don't find a man sexy who doesn't know how to use tools, build or make repairs! So I had a lot of negative experiences with them. So for me, what I find attractive in a man is sharing my faith & beliefs, no vulgar language, no smoking, no alcohol abuse, and has pride in his appearance and property, kind & thoughtful with integrity. I've dated guys who can't fix a thing & they are so frustrating. 😤 Just not worth it.

First husband although in the military couldn’t use a tool to save his life. I did all the house repairs and I was the only woman out in the front yard on Saturdays mowing the lawn. Second husband is a carpenter by trade… to the point he won’t even let me pick up a paint brush…. However, we both drive trucks, use tools (he’s actually building our house). But I also lift 40-50 pounds of feed, help him lift beams for the house… and we are both 53. I guess that makes us both sexy 😉 my dad was a hard worker, a quiet stoic man but he always took care of us. To me a sexy man is someone who shows outward strength but also someone who is caring and loving, places the family before anything and anyone ❤

Hi Kimberly, I grew up in a similar family environment in New York's Mid Hudson Valley. My Mom & Dad each had 7 children in their families and there were more boys than girls on each side. I also had lots of cousins which was great for me because I'm an only child. Huge extended family with many great aunts and uncles and more cousins plus childhood friends of the elders that we called aunt and uncle as a term of respect. My Dad built our home, he ran the vegetable farm with his father and siblings. He could rebuild an engine, fix anything which he did because he repaired televisions and small appliances in the off season. The women ran the household, cooked delicious meals, canned, sewed, knitted, crocheted and worked in the fields during harvest season. We've lost much of that generation but they taught me to have respect, to shoulder responsibility, and to work hard for yourself and your family. Have a great week!

I agree with your assessment of sexy men. I was raised by a loving father who worked construction for most of his life. Without finishing high school, he could build about anything. A physically and mentally strong man. My husband isn’t a builder, but can understand how things work by looking and fiddling with something and can fix almost anything! Like you said, they just get things done❤

Thanks, Kimberly, for this most helpful video. I’m having a burger for dinner and will try your sauce. Months ago I stopped eating hamburger buns and using ketchup on my burgers. I do eat the burger with a slice of tomato, slice of onion and pickle slices, but without the bun they tend to slide all over the place. Your sauce provides a much better delivery system for the same ingredients. Fortunately I have the Primal Kitchen avocado mayonnaise and Primal Kitchen organic unsweetened ketchup on hand, so I’m all set! I also really enjoyed your piece on grounding and walking barefoot in this morning’s newsletter. Thanks again for your diligence in scouting out all the useful tips to keep us informed and healthy!

I so miss the Traditionalist generation and being around them. Sounds like you had a great family that instilled good values. And I agree we are sort of losing the values of working hard. I feel badly for many of the younger people because they are up against so many challenges right now like climate change and all the confusion coming along with that. On a different note, you are looking great. Your daily routines are really paying off. You are an inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing.

I am so very blessed to have a sexy husband! It doesn't hurt that he is 11 years younger than me either. We just had our 27th anniversary in January. He is strong and capable. Changes our oil, works on our riding lawmower. He designed and we built a 12x16 storage/office building on our land. He makes me laugh and holds me when I cry. I can count on him for anything. I thank GOD for him every single day.

I agree! My Dad could do anything!!! He built homes, worked on cars and built furniture, farmed!!! ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! My husband is the same way! I'm 55 and my husband is 58. Men today are so feminine. Many men don't know how to do anything - it's sad. Men are losing their manhood - including their gentlemanly qualities. Just sad. I am sorry to for the young women today, they are surrounded by feminine men they don't know what a real man is.

The men in Hill Country Texas and farmers know how to do stuff. The suburban and city guys buy stuff. There are some that know how to do stuff. It all depends on the kind of education they received or went after.
What I find attractive in a man?....At this point and age (65) nothing that I can think of. I am married so I do not give this topic any thought. But now that you ask. Hmmmmmm. I do not know. One thing I do know (if my hubby passes before me) I will not ever want to be married again. So if men know how to be a friend (not like a women type of friend) I may go out for coffee or tea to chat with them but that is it.

Unfortunately I've trained myself a little too well so now I'm better than the few men I've dated over the years 🙈 Seriously it's a problem. 100% agreed, I love me some Alpha male with a big truck and a tool belt!! Just not enough of the single ones around these days! The reason?? They are in high demand! I also agree with the post below by blackdiamond7708. Today, what we are seeing is not only an attack on Christian values and family but really good attempt to totally eradicate them! “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph 6:12

I had a similar upbringing with family and men, in particular. I miss my dad and grandfathers, salt of the earth type of people. Just to play devil's advocate, I suppose that men like this probably prefer women in the traditional gender roles: cooks, cleaners, caretakers, etc. I'm not that woman! I like a man who can talk about a variety of topics - well-educated and open to new experiences, like me! Any kind of competence, whether hands-on or IT or with a canoe/boat is sexy!

I’m asking. Because produce in your area is not available what is wrong with the vendor searching for that particular item(s) to sell ? Doesn’t mean the farmer wasn’t passionate about his farming. I think farming must be such a difficult vocation from wherever it comes from. I wash everything I bring home anyway before storing in my fridge. Scrubbing and washing your produce wherever it comes from is a must!
