Glad the beetles driving again! That dual carb setup made the WORLD of difference. Cannot wait to see the 1000sp airing out!!!
Thanks man! Me too!!
Forward progress on these projects! I look forward to more!
Great looking beetle! I love this car!
Stoked! Always enjoy seeing the progress!
Man the beetle is so good. It’s like patina paradise in your shop. 🔥
Always perfect timing on these uploads man!
Thanks man! Just itching to finally get into building 😩
love it - so cool to see the development!😃
Look at all the room for activities! Beetle is sick, I’m going to need one as i get some more space!
12v starter issues- been into aircooled for many years. Best money I recently spent was converting some of my cars to the ‘high torque’ USA made starters from CIP1. Vast improvement to the OG design
Good to know, man! I’ll probably do that for the Beetle and 1000SP!
Early cars have a trouble with the starter wiring. Get a Bosch WR1 12v hard start relay.
What do you mean when you say "hot start"? Like when the engine is already warm? If its that, it's hard to start unless you do what the manual says... FLOOR IT, crank the engine, let off when it starts. Cold start is push the gas pedal down 2x, turn the key til it starts.
Try putting electronic points. My bus starts up hot no problem. It’s cold that gives me problems 😆
I always thought the 700 could’ve benefited from a type 3 setup as well.
I could be wrong, but maybe part of your hot start issue is the hewt riser in the intake manifold? Does it struggle to stay running when its up to temp? Hard starting and hard to keep running were two issues I had when my heat riser was completely plugged off from carbon build up in the heat riser
"OH my god" and "holy shit"....E V E R Y. S I N G L E T I M E ....LOL
Hey John what did you use on your chrome bumper to bring back that shine…
Turtle Wax metal polish and rust remover!
Great upload as usual!
Do you ship to South Africa?
Thank you! And yes I do!
@@JohnLudwick 😁
What music is that u use at the beginning of video ?
What's up where's your assistant at the quiet guy always standing in the background
Starter is heat related failure.. swap the starter out.
Since your so good with Volkswagens. Take a look at the VW Hormiga from Brazil or better yet the VW Trakbayan from the Philippines 🇵🇭!
It looks like a utility van, people carrier, front mounted VW air cooled engine and best of all its front wheel drive!!!
I love those!!
@JohnLudwick You've got to import one Brazilian Hormiga. Unfortunately you can't get a hold of a Trakbayan coz they made so few & its too far to your place. Keep the videos coming!
