Jane, I’m sure you are going to have a wonderful time in Tromso. I hope my videos help you to hunt as many auroras as possible ☺️. Remember, auroras are always there but the city pollution is the only thing to avoid :) good luck!
Hi I love your video. I just watching your video today and I already booked another Airbnb last month for 28 November-2 Dezember 😭 I hope I still can see the aurora there. And about Sushi Tiger that you share in another video, that’s also make me sad because I love sushi but the restaurant is close permanently 😭 Did you try the cable car also ? If it’s yes, How is it and how much is cost for round trip ?
Hi there. So glad you liked the video. About your questions: - Auroras: it would be easier to see auroras and stronger auroras a bit outside the city, but not impossible. I have seen other people’s videos and they even saw strong auroras going down the plane in the airport of Tromso. Amazing. So don’t loose hopes. - Sushi: it’s a pity the sushi tiger closed i totally agree. We also love sushi and tried the most famous sushi from Tromso. If you are interested in that one and other restaurants from Tromso feel free to check the video of my channel about it “our dinners in Tromso”. I’m sure it will give you a closer idea what to expect. - Cable car: yes, we tried it. It costs around 32 euros per person (both directions). I explained our experience with the cable car in the video about Adventures in tromso, feel free to also check it out (minute 4: 28 from that video to be exact). I hope this info helps you and I super wish you an amazing time in Tromso. I’m sure you will love it!
Hi there! I love your interest! We booked the cabin through Airbnb.com for around 170 per night. Prices in Norway can be quite high, but keep in mind that you'll save money on food as there aren't many restaurants around. The cabin is located in Laksvatn, around 45 min away from Tromso city, but a bus station was just a 15-minute walk away (the bus station name was Laksvatn too). I hope it helps to plan your adventure
Hello. Unfortunatly the cabin will be booked for the days we want to go. Is there other good places woth cabins for the sightseeing? I can't really trust promoted google searches.
Hi there. You are totally right, I also need a more "realistic" information. Although we did not try other cabins, I can tell you my secret to finding spots: check out time-lapse webcams of the location and check which spot has the most clear sky at night. I found this website with many webcams around the area: www.windy.com/-Webcams/Norway/Troms-og-Finnmark/Laksvatn/E8-Lavangsdalen/webcams/1675206490?69.572,17.886,9. I hope it helps you a bit and let me know if you have further comments or questions :)
Hi there. You can find the cabin on Airbnb, search near Tromso (Laksvatn) and the name of the host was Cristina. A tip, book with time as they get many people. I hope you enjoy your adventure a lot :)
