The 2 lessons, of the many, that I will take away from my true crime obsession:
1.) It’s never a mannequin
2.) It’s never a wine stain
3. Never open a random suitcase- call the cops
4. If an obsessive ex lived with you, change the locks
And all-American girl/boy/family and 'it was the type of place people left their backdoor unlocked WILL end in 'shallow grave'
Obsession?! Ghoulish.
I always get a chuckle when she says, “if you like crime” in the opening 🤣. I know what’s she means, but it still makes me giggle.

Your videos make me feel as if I'm sitting in a room alone with you Emma and you are telling me the story of the crime, and I'm hanging on your every word, that's a gift to have that ability so keep it up.
how are you doing one and a half hour videos and I'm sat there staring at them and it feels like no time passes? I'm so captivated and fascinated by your brilliant insight every single time. I might have spent literally hours in the last two days binge watching your content.
I know ! I have no idea 😂 I just know I need to do them justice ! We suddenly realised we are doing two feature length episodes a week now. 😂😂😂 it’s fun though and keeps us busy. Em x

One thing it took me a long time to learn in life was, never behave like a victim!
Not easy to learn for a passive, gentle soul but it's important.
I raised my girls with the advise, “If someone tries to grab you…Scream, shout, kick, scratch, bite!! Never let the embarrassment of potentially overreacting endanger your life!! Never let someone take you to a ‘second crime scene’!!”!!

@@florence1395 That’s a really good idea! I have a daughter who has just started senior school in the next town. She catches a bus to & from school. We pick her up when she has after school events though.
It’s frightening to be parents…when I remember what it was like when I was a teen!
@suzimonkey345 my mum always taught me the same (because my bio dad was capable of kidnapping me, hes a diagnosed psychopath by the time he was 18 when i was 2 y.o) so she taught me to make a scene and put up a fight cause you're more likely to get found in the first location then going with someone to another location!
Another really good ep Emma and for the lady who survived, like you said on your Tour, if your asked for compliance from a Killer, fighting back is the only way! x
The only reason that most killers won’t be able to use all of the forensic knowledge they have is because, when their animalistic behavior begins, they make a lot of dumb mistakes!

I missed the live premiere of this today, but am tuning in now...unfortunately new crime stories are developing daily. Here in the states we have a girl missing under very weird circumstances named Gabby Petito. I’m trying to stay positive but the length of time she’s been missing and the disappearance and silence of her fiancé, Brian Laundrie makes me feel like a future case for you to cover is developing, sadly. Always appreciate your content 🌹

We have got to stop giving these Guys cool sounding names like Hollywood Ripper. They love that too much I’m sure. Like this blokes name should’ve been Mike the little Willy woman murderer.

Agree 💯% after sentencing they should be incarceration, no contact accept family and never to be heard of again - . Books… movie deals, interviews should be off the cards .. why should these serial killers be given notoriety when their victims lay 6 feet under and families left devastated.
Well yes and no. Let's not body-shame men based on their physical dimensions but also Let's not give killers groovy names.

I always think it's weird when murderers object to the death penalty. Like...YOU KILLED PEOPLE. Why did you do that if you yourself are so afraid to die???? Like it's completely bonkers

It’d be great if you’d look into this case thru the lens of “would there have been another victim had Kutcher not lied about being inside Ashley’s apartment and called 911 immediately instead of calling Danny Masterson?”…since Chrissy Bixler and LAPD have both confirmed his lie, it’d be very interesting!

Please don’t take his involvement with helping trafiking as something good. It might b something good but it’s just as likely a cover for a pedophile or someone who is helping his rich friends with money laundering.
Emma I consider myself pretty hard having worked for victim support and watch hundreds of these programs, I actually cried when you were saying what the parents said. I have two girls, 23 & 15 and now my sons partner 24. I couldn’t bare if anybody was to hurt them.
I problem is with these defence barristers, having been in the witness box three times I know how these people completely spread you to pieces. He was beaten by a five foot woman unmet I believe that she must have had the power of all ten and more of his victims behind her.

“Surgical shoe covers” are very common in the USA. When I lived in the states I noticed that repair men, movers & estate agents generally use them to protect the carpets. It’s better than taking their shoes off…

If a victim only survives because of their self-defence skills, brilliant surgeons or even pure luck, the attacker should get life in prison! I’m sick or hearing about monsters “getting off” with short sentences or (in Britain) no time at all, just a “slap on the wrist” when they are clearly wannabe serial killers!! 🤬

What an unbelievable animal this guy was. The cheek of asking to be spared the death penalty as well, just shows you his psychopathy and arrogance. I like how you focus on the damage it does to the families as well as a lot of true crime content ignores this and I think it's important to remember these are real people. Looking forward to your next video :)

THANK YOU for making the point that people need to take measures to protect themselves. I used to live in a city which had a park that was a notorious spot for women being sexually assaulted and when I pleaded with a friend not to walk through there in the dark, she just told me it was her right to walk wherever she wanted to. I agree; everyone has the right to walk anywhere at any time… but the criminals don’t care about our rights and freedoms. This is not victim blaming, merely a plea for people to protect themselves from opportunists as much as they can - because no victim has ever looked up after the fact and said “at least I stood up for my right to walk alone at night”

I remember hearing about this case when I was 8 years old… bcuz I was 8 when Ashton Kutchers date got murdered. I feel so bad for her friends and family! And also I bet Ashton Kutcher will remember this for the rest of his life and I bet that murder crushed him also… when Ashton found out about the murder of her, I wonder what went through his mind when he went through this traumatic situation among with her poor friends and family
Great research and presentation Emma. Another case suggestion for your file is a UK one, Harry Dhillon, horrible murder of his ex girlfriend Alice Ruggles.
Suggestion: Jenni Haynes. Her case is truly disturbing but the outcome is also so empowering. She’s one of the strongest people I have ever heard of. I suggest it because even though it’s brutal, she was diagnosed with DID as a result of her trauma. And I wonder what your take on it is!

The defense used in his case reminds me of the Amber Guyger case where the defense was basically that she didn't realise it was someone else's home....it would almost be laughable if we weren't talking about innocent people being killed
