Thanks Susan, yes we could have detected the wall, we're just so used to detecting the ground we didn't think of it.

I got 2 of those old style lighters. They were less than 2 feet apart. Still had the Cigarette company's name on them. Back in the 60's, maybe 70's, they used to include them attached to the package of their brand of cigarette.
Thanks, I didn't know they were included with cigarettes. Now the cigarettes cost more then the lighter

That old stone building is beautiful. it's too bad no one has tried to restore it so it could live another 100 years or so. Congratulations on that small flat button; I was amazed the shank was intact. Thanks for sharing with us.

Like a horse shoe over a door to bring luck, colonial Germans had theirs. Bury a container with coins away from the house in the 4 cardinal directions and sometimes above the front door in the stone work as they were building the house.

Thanks, we're glad we can help insire someone. When we do get out it's usually only one day on the weekend, but we're out for at least 8 hours.
What do you say when you go to ask permission?
We knock on the door and introduce ourselves, we tell them we do metal detecting for a hobby, and love to find old coins and relics that are lost in the ground. Would it be OK if we could search your yard/ property, we will show you everything that we find. We also film our finds for our UA-cam channel.

Juat a word of advice. When digging up the things of the past, the energy imprinted on the items is set loose. I believe in doing a ritual so the energy cant or wont follow me home. I've learned this the hard way. Don't believe me? Wait and see.
