ARRMA Fireteam "VICIOUS Beast!" Hobbystar 1480kv and Max 6 test!

- Out with the Arrma Fireteam this time swapping to the Hobbystar 1480kv 4092 and Max 6 ESC. Such a HUGE torque difference from the 2000kv 4082 I started with. Sporting the M2C chassis, chassis braces and shock stand offs with the full @Basherqueen carbon fiber package and her Pure Force servo saver. The truck did very well with minimal breaks at all the spots and had a total blast! Definitely got some bigger launches in for the Aerial Team!😂

Nice launch session. My Fireteam landed directly on the front bumper hard and off a jump landed & kept flipping over & over till it hit a tree then into a metal bbq. It had a lose front bumper but that’s it. It’s super tuff.

So in the Hobbystar 4092 family would you still recommend 1480kv since I do not want a beast/Hulk? Maybe 1730kv...looking for an opinion I do want the front to stay down. Thx Sir!

Absolutely wicked Rip with the Fireteam Brother Eric 😱!!!! She's moving great with the old 1480 and Max6 😍. I'm amazed how durable the stock tires have been. Haven't touched up a single glue bead 👀. I like the Backflips for overall handling, but the stockers haul ass no question. Loved those massive sends to the downramp 🚀🚀. Such a Killer Fun, versatile platform 🥰. The balloon pretty bad now since worn in but yes, no glue beads have broken and so far the foams are staying together!😍Little unstable in the street but fast af in the dirt! The 1480kv and Max6 is at home in this rig! Perfect amount of speed, weight and torque! The body is starting to show some major wear! What impresses me is how you were hitting those dirt piles at a angle and the truck didn't barrel roll or lose stability. The FireTeam has really surprised me. I thought they may had put more into the looks and lacked on durability and performance. That's not the case at all. Awesome jumps bro that was huge 🔥

@@RCDUDE81 I had the 4585 1800kv too that's awesome too but the 1580 I like better there is a 1250 or something haven't tried that one but 1580 is nuts I like it way better than the hw 1650 a little smaller but less weight bash on hope you get one want to make sure it's not just me and value your opinion

I had a fan quit and cooked the motor. Have my eye on the castle 1717 1650kv, but this is a bit more affordable. Would the 1480kv be a good option? I run mostly 6s, one 8s pack(zeee 7000mha) per outing. If i don't decide to run it in the kraton 8s.

Think my eyes are going strange from watching your vids dude, sick sesh but at 5:20 it’s the weirdest landing! I’m only watching on my phone but it looks like u land on the down slope of the green hill but then the car appears 20 or so ft closer to the camera coming off the first down slope.
I watched it like 10 times over and it always looks like you went further. Maybe some weird camera effects

Just look at the footage of Kai Lenny surfing Jaws on Maui, one of the biggest days of the season, like 80ft Hawaiian measurements ( think it’s vertical face) but wave looks about 15ft total
I used mine in Maui for a windsurf session and it made all the 50-60ft jumps look small but I did get some cool stills from the video though but it just doesn’t do the height justice

I just buy one and beat the he'll out of it. It handle really well, and I was doing some really extreme bashing in the skatepark. Bend the chassis a little but not many rc will survive that kind of bashing.

I like those tires. Do they keep more junk outta the hubs? This is the coolest RTR. My son wants one cause of the riders and dune buggy look. He’s only 8 though. I let him rip my outcast on 6 s. My wife just got her Arrma Fireteam buggy. What gears are you running now. Fixing to go with a Hobbystar 4092. You changed my mind on the 4082...lol. Apply very appreciated 👍
Yeah the 4092 is probably a better suit on this heavier truck! With the 1480kv, I'm currently running a 23 tooth pinion stock spur.
@@RCDUDE81 Hey Brother, I have really been enjoying this Fireteam Buggy. But a couple days ago the pinion gear spun off the motor shaft. Went to the local Hobby store today and had them put a 20T on. They did a crappy job and left wires unhooked,saw this when I got home. This evening tried to run it on 4S and it was sluggish and making metal noises. Put the new 6S 120C in and same thing. Except on full throttle it wheelied and flipped on it's lid... 😆. It just doesn't sound right anymore and the start up beeps are sick sounding now as well. Thinking of dropping punch from 8 to 5. What do you think 🤔🤔 brother?

Yeah the rear brace had to be resigned to make room for the handbrake module. Hopefully they will release one soon. I just took a dremel and made a cutout for it.😎👊
How does the 1480kv compare to the 1650 usually used in a max 6 build?

Yes I have some reinforcement with zip ties and shoe goo. Also some larger washers in places on the panels.. Overall it's held up really good. The cage is rigid! I have a few panels that are starting to crack but nothing a little Gorilla tape can't fix!

Anybody to watch this video before buying arrma please don’t think your arrma can do this out of the box Front driveshaft always pop out a front cups tires come on glued arrma has become drunk So unless you’re willing to spend 800 on the truck and then another 300 with MC two racing don’t bother
