Spaceshipped is a ButtonShy game: "SpaceShipped - A solo space trading game of buying and selling resources, upgrading your ship, crew, and equipment, dealing with pirates, and making deals. A card game with over 30 random events, 4 types of ship, 4 sets of crew members, and 8 different pieces of equipment to install, all using only 18 cards packed neatly in a little wallet."
What a timely video! I was looking at getting this game at the capstone games board game swap tomorrow. Saw both and wanted some sort of comparison and this is perfect. I think I will get it based on Meg’s enthusiasm. I also picked up clank! To try with the group. If it is a hit, I’ll go for clank! Legacy. Well, whenever we finish frosthaven that is….
The base box has plenty of room to store a lot of cards if you remove the insert and stack two decks of cards in a kind of circle around the box. I have somewhere in the range of 30 different realms (I stopped getting the latest realms this year because it was a lot of $ to keep up) and I could easily fit another 20 realms. No need to buy Redux unless you really want a few of the realms
I just bought Rolling Realms Redux. 😂 It should arrive shortly. I enjoyed the original games a lot; it’s kind of a guilty pleasure games. I am still not a fan of the art style of the game, but the simple accessible gameplay makes up for it. And I really hope that I will enjoy the new solo mode, because I also bought a lot of the promos as well. 😅 Fingers crossed that it was a good idea. 😉🤞
I’m really interested in trying this out but I don’t know if I want to commit to buying it. I’ve got so many games on my shelf I want to get through that I’m not hurting for entertainment but the theme looks very cool
If someone words you have to choose between the original and the redux, I would suggest the original. And this is because Jamey has 70 plus games on his UA-cam channel for stonemire that you can join in and play with him. It is also another way to play it solo and gives you an opponent to play against!
I enjoy Rolling Realms well enough but I have a hand injury which makes most roll and writes problematic. I wish everything for RR was a little bigger, but I understand why that would not be practical. So while I liked it about as well as Alex did, and it was fun to follow the original development journey, I have to pass on it. I love the way the realms have expanded outside of Stonemaier games. That's fun :).

Spaceshipped is one of my favorite games and I got the Redux because of this game in it
There is actually a sequel to the minigolf solo campgain. It's a promo pack called Beyond the Realmiverse.

I'm not sure how much is on there, but I believe it's on tabletopia if that helps! :)
Also, Alex’s guilty pleasure comment helps fuel my purchase 😅
Lol enjoy
I'm with Meg. 4.5 out of 5.
Rolling Realms suffers from a below average rulebook.
Sorry, Alex. But the Terraforming Mars one kinda sucks.
