Nice trip you had! An adventurous trip I had with hubby to Christchurch and back. Saturday was sunny but cold. Beautiful snow capped mountains. First time for me riding on grit. Today coming back the heavens opened from Castlehill. Cold and wet all the way home.
Sure makes the hot shower/bath and fire (or heat pump) all the more appreciated and divine😜 Thanks heaps for coming on the video ride. Its great to gain some experience in some of the harsher conditions.
I like the new V7 850 Stone Limited edition with rear pipe & the V7 Ten 10yr Anniversary model in White & rear pipe too.
Tempting but along way away to a Guzzi Dealership.A Pinlock is good especially if wear spectacles & rain pullover pants 👖 too.I find the winter Textile jackets are waterproof.
The v7 looks like a great bike, I've never ridden one though.
I have a pinlock on my clear visor. They sure make the world of difference.

Seems pretty much standard for me whenever I venture south to the mainland moisture comes out to accompany my journey. Don’t think I’ve ever actually seen the alps in all their magnificence. Next trip maybe.
The time you come south and manage some sunshine and awesomeness in the vision to the eyes will be much more greatly appreciated when you finally get to see. Hopefully the next trip will be the one.
@@Coolcrazyq I may be telling lies here because I now remember a trip over Arthur’s pass in 1984 on my BSA that was in sunshine. Been a while tho.

I actually always found it a bit terrifying, and always uncomfortable. I probably wiped at least a dozen times in the rain. most motorcycle tires really suck.
Damn, that's no fun in coming to grief... I've found some tyres to be great in the wet, and the Griso being pretty heavy in ways maybe a helping factor
Hey mate what wet weather gear do you wear ?
I have a very old Motoline wet weather over jacket, cant find the same model online. Its served me well, and the bib pants are nzsafetyblackwoods.co.nz/en/tornado-advanced-breathable-bib-over-trouser-pair--421781 they are not perfect, in very wet weather the water may get through in patches.... though on this ride, they did perform very well. And I have a good pair of water proof boots.
@@CoolcrazyqI got the Oxford rain pullover pants 👖 & been caught out a couple of times & did a good job & only cost about $70-$80.
They just gotta keep us dry right. They don't need to break the bank. 🙂
@@Coolcrazyq I had the old yellows🤣 I wore on farm but swinging leg over bike was a pain in the arse literally🤣so got the Oxfords & like how they zip right up leg to get over boots to put on quickly.The Oxford rain pullover pants 👖 are good how if you wear a 36" or large etc you buy Oxford 36" or large rain pullover pants & they designed to fit over top of your 36"(large) pants so you don't have to worry about getting the right size to fit or try some on etc or upsize to fit.
