Toeava surely should be in reserves at the least. Great season and now Silver Ferns wont be able to put the points on quickly without Nweke Toeava combo. Missed opportunity
And the worst thing is if the ferns dont make the final EVERYONE will be on about 'WHAT IF' Peta was there. I would of rather have Peta there and lose than to contemplate for the next 4 years about what would of happen if she was there.
I’m sorry I just don’t think Crampton is all that great,never have! She does nothing outstanding and certainly won’t be thought of in the same vein as the Langmans or Baileys! I’d have picked PETA over her!
@@ricksmith9177that is because she does her job as a WA does, drives to circle edge, and feeds she way fitter than toeava, more circle feeds, I wanted toeava in there too, but with that many turnovers this season, too risky for WC.
Someone EXPLAIN WHY Toeava wasnt selected???. If there were 2 speciallist WA selected(Crampton also plays C, there would of been still room for Heffernan-to cover WD and C and another C in either Souness or Gordan. Burger is also another WD...WHY?
definitely feel like it’s versatility and multiple position players. karin will stay as the key GD which means she will not play WD like she did in the last world cup and constellation cup before injury. no katrina rore either, so heffernan, gordon and souness were better choices because they can also play WD AND WA. i do believe toeava should’ve been selected to be a reserve, but have to trust in noelines game plan and choices.
@@FRVM02 I dont buy Nols versatility when Tiana is there as a specillist GA with low volumes- There needed to be two WA offering two different attack styles and feeds to keep the opposition guessing. Two WAs + Hefferan C/WD + Souness C. Burger is always an option at WD when you have Karaka as another GD
@@Skybar23 that versatility comment was purely meant for the middys. mila is there because she is quick and has firepower and has worked on her defense. same could be said about peta but she also did say the girls in the middys were chosen because of the physical and fitness aspect of tournament style play and having the legs to play back to backs or keep going 100% all the time which maybe noels felt peta didn't have. who knows. but, both souness and gordon can and will play WA behind the specialist crampton probably as heffernan and souness will most likely alternate with crampton in the mix as well at C. as for WD yeah karin may go to WD but i have a feeling it will most likely be gordon, heffernan, souness and karaka from the defenders.

My only concern is it would of better of there were two different attacking WAs that would feed Nweke differently. Crampton can be cautious but shes very hesitant on the feeds where Peta is more spontaneous especially with her bullet passes that Crampton does not offer. Relying on lobs to Nweke will be gobbled up at the WC and becomes too predictable.
