Felician Sisters have the option to wear a habit or modest clothing. They all wear the Franciscan cross. There are good reasons for some wearing or not wearing a habit depending on what they do and where they are. Sometimes wearing a habit can make people feel intimidated by sisters or sisters may be targeted by wearing one. Conversely, a habit helps some sisters in their environment by distinguishing who they are for the people they are working with. It all depends on their ministry work.
@@smcconnell Sorry Susan I disagree.We are not talking about wearing a habit in North Korea.Hopefully one day soon they require all sisters to wear their habits.If they are getting any young vocations I am sure they are choosing to wear the habit.It is usually the leftist old cranks who won’t.
