The endo patient’s explaining in detail online what their pain is like is how I realized Endometriosis is what I had and that I needed to continue to advocate for myself until a doctor believed me vs giving up like I was planning. Had I not found the other patients stories I wouldn’t be alive today.

Thanks SO much for these summits. We are currently devouring them as we wait to see physicians.

Dr. fogelson, in your experience, do patients need contrasted or un-contrasted MRI imaging in order to potentially see that overlapping/wrapping of the veins you mentioned? In that roughly 10% group you mentioned.

Dang 😂get off family practitioners lol. Im actually a np and I am getting well versed in endometriosis, endocrinology and the immune system. Working in a rural community you have to step out of the knowledge you have and learn about different diseases that may keep reoccurring in the community you are in . Sometimes it takes 3 to 6 months for the patient to be seen by s specialist. I agree with you that family practice need to step out of the comfort zones and do more and make networks so the patients can be treated better and not suffer.
