Những khoá thiền này cấm người da trắng tham gia. Cá nhân tôi không thể ủng hộ việc loại trừ người khác chỉ vì sắc tộc hoặc màu da của họ. Việt Nam là một quốc gia thiêng liêng với 54 dân tộc khác nhau và Việt Nam không thực hiện sự phân biệt sắc tộc hay loại trừ bất kỳ dân tộc nào. Tôi rất ngạc nhiên và thất vọng khi không có một vị sư hay ni cô nào từ Việt Nam, con cháu của Âu Cơ và Lạc Long Quân, đứng lên dũng cảm và nói rằng họ sẽ không bao giờ chấp nhận một tăng đoàn hay khoá thiền nào có sự phân biệt sắc tộc, nơi mà một số dân tộc bị loại trừ. Tôi rất thất vọng và đang mất niềm tin vào sự dũng cảm và lòng tốt cơ bản của con người. Người Việt Nam không phải là “người da màu”, đó chỉ là một khái niệm phân biệt chủng tộc cực kỳ bệnh hoạn của nước Mỹ. Người Việt Nam là con cháu của quốc gia thiêng liêng Việt Nam và là con cháu của nhân loại bao gồm tất cả các dân tộc, bao gồm cả người da trắng. Những tăng đoàn hay khoá thiền phân biệt sắc tộc này, nơi mà một số dân tộc bị loại trừ, hoàn toàn không đại diện hoặc phù hợp với trái tim và quan điểm của người dân Việt Nam con cháu của Hồ Chí Minh hay của Cộng hòa Xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam. Chúng chỉ đại diện cho một căn bệnh tâm linh sâu sắc của Hoa Kỳ. Tôi cầu nguyện rằng trái tim của sự loại trừ này sẽ không được xuất khẩu từ Mỹ và làm tha hoá trái tim của phần còn lại của thế giới. Những khoá thiền phân biệt sắc tộc như thế này, nơi mà một số dân tộc bị cấm tham gia, mang lại nỗi xấu hổ lớn cho những núi sông thiêng liêng của đất nước Việt Nam. Na mô A di đà Phật. 🙏🙏🙏

When I was younger, women had fewer legal rights, they have more legal rights now. There was no legal right for women to own property or vote in the U.S. during my grandmother's time.
When we women were finding our voice, separate from what we had been socialized to believe, we met apart from men. We needed our own space to send roots into our own garden soil.
Cultural mores in the US have favored concepts of white supremacy. And some people benefit from meeting together, and feel safer sharing their truths, with others who may have similar types of racist experiences they want to heal, without white people present.
Historically Black colleges and universities in the U.S. also "water seeds."
You Started with women's rights... @@4LovePeaceand then you ended your comment with racism. And you title yourself" growing for love and peace". So are no white monks and nuns allowed then? How about if one is Irish and has a tan?
But on a positive note, I'm glad you found this path.. please don't trample over the flowers.
And I will add... You can sit on a cushion next to me anytime and hold my hand... Love .... Some white dude.
You relate more with others who have been through the same sufferings as you. That is the reason why they do this. I hope you can understand. It is out of compassion and a desire to heal not to exclude out of discrimination. This is Thay's will
As an American mut who looks white, I can see both sides💔🙏.
Our system over here is/was pretty flawed.❤️🩹 We are currently in a very volatile time, with white supremacy/fascism/criminality literally on the ballot. The fear and resentment toward system and people in power is real, for good reason😭💔. So much historical trauma...
Isn't that why beloved V. Thay started with Israelis in one camp, Palestinians in their own, to start the teaching?? Because our pain/suffering needs to be understood as universal first.
Our connections to each other can be felt with the practice 🧘♀️and insight. Healing and Joy can happen.🙂↕️❤️🩹

@Agape's Very Valid point comes in!! 🎉The Sangha is INclusive, not exclusive. When the practioner feels safe enough, of course being in a 'mixed' sangha is the goal!🙏😊 What better way to heal ourselves and our Mother Earth than mixed all together walking and eating in meditation😌 🧘♀️ ❤️🔥 🧡💜💚
