    Glad you made a video on these, I’ve been getting more requests to use them in my mouse mods lately, before everyone typically wanted either D2F-01F omrons or normal blue shell pink dots. Lamzu’s implementation in the mini were pretty impressive too

    I gotta say this was a fantastic guide video. I have watched many. Did my first PC build about a year and a half ago during Covid and then did my first keyboard build now I’ve gotten into moding gaming mice and I’ve watched a lot of videos. This one was the clearest, best explained, and did a great job of really showing what was going on. Keep up the good work you definitely earned my sub!!!

    Great video! The tip you gave regarding adding more solder to help loosen the switches is really good! Just started soldering here and I messed up a mouse already lol but I managed to do a successful swap on a Corsair M65 RGB Elite (known for left click issues because of cheap Omrons) and replaced with Kailh 8.0 GM switches. Keep up the great videos and looking forward to future uploads!

    Great guide for people wanting to get into mouse-modding and changing switches! I've done it a few times myself with the help from Ents videos.
    Anyways. For temperature regulated irons, I'd recommend setting it to 350-375C. Also if you are having trouble making the solder flow correctly, use flux.
    I personally love the japanese omrons, but I also just got these transparent BSPD in.
    So how would you rate the click feel in the HTX with these switches? 🙂
    - Keep it up! Really enjoy your videos.

    I highly suggest you buy a K tip or also known as a knife tip. Its wide enough to to heat two joints at the same time and by moving it back and forth you are able to get all three solder joints to melt at the same time and effortlessly pull the switch out. This method was used by turbobitbox

    I put in some D2F-F-3-7 in my replacement HSK Pro 4K and kept Zippys in the original pre-order one. I must say the lighter switches make the mouse "feel" even lighter simply because you need less force to actuate the clicks.

    Thanks for posting this, I work on my pc during the day and play games as a hobby. As a result I use my PC a lot and I'm hoping these switches are bit lighter than the stock gpro superlight clicks because my index finger is getting pretty sore. Will order some of these and see how they do after fitting.

      the switch just physically opens/closes a circuit so it doesn't add any delay by itself by the traditional definition (if you measure delay from the time the switch goes off to it being sent to ur pc). a lighter/snappier switch may feel more responsive though as the travel may be easier or quicker.

    • @AimAdapt
      @AimAdapt  Рік тому +2

      The Viper mini uses optical switches so I would recommend just sticking with the stock ones. Razer uses the best tech in their mice. I have heard of people doing it but I don't have any personal experience with swapping out optical switches for non optical so I honestly cant give you any real advice from my own experience on this one. Perhaps if someone in the community has done it they could give you better advice. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    But which switch is best for FPS first person shooter games like Valorant? I mean a very quick response button switch.

    • @AimAdapt
      @AimAdapt  Рік тому +2

      Click latency mostly comes down to the CPU and implementation of the tech in a mouse with the current state of most mice on the market.

    Hi, my g305 currently has gm8.0 on the left and stock omron on the right, gm8.0 causes pain to my finger and omoron is too light so i'd click it if i rest my hand on the mouse.
    So im considering to change to huano transparent blue pink dot or ttc gold dust proof 60m/80m.
    Also my side buttons start to double click, Which one would you recommend? thanks

      The huano blue shell pink dots are one of the most popular switches on the market and I have not had any issues with them double clicking in any of my mice personally. With soldering I would recommend trying to practice on any board you can before you move over to your gaming mouse to try and get a feel for it. Don't keep your iron too hot or on the board for too long because you can damage the circuit board and the components. I wish you the best of luck :)

    British pronunciation of solder is an odd choice and not tinning the iron tip meant you had to hold the iron on part longer than would have been necessary if you had.
    Basically, your iron has oxidized and it is making it more difficult to transfer heat efficiently.
    The good news is, it isn't dead yet and the joints made in this video are just fine.
    NGL I had to search a bit for a video to show what I mean, but here is a British guy pronouncing solder with an L AND giving a tutorial on tinning an iron!
