Danny Boy Sheds Tears Over Coming Out & Not Wanting His Sons to Be Gay

  • Опубліковано 13 бер 2016
  • Singer Danny Boy, who sung hooks on such famous songs as 2Pac's "I Ain't Mad at Cha" and "Picture Me Rollin," spoke to VladTV about deciding to come out as a gay man at the beginning of 2016. The former Death Row singer told us that he made the decision after a man he was dating, who was the first man Danny Boy said he felt comfortable with, committed suicide because he was gay. He explained that initially he disguised his boyfriend, Anthony, as a woman while announcing his death on Facebook, but Danny Boy told us that he decided to tell the truth after going to the funeral.
The backlash Danny Boy received after making his announcement was tough to deal with, as the singer told us that he lost longtime friends and members of his church started to speak out against his new lifestyle. One of the hardest conversations Danny Boy had to have about the news was with the mothers of his children, including his ex-wife, and he admitted that his oldest child's mother took the news the best. However, Danny Boy told us that his ex-wife took the news hard, and he added that he hasn't spoken to his third child's mother due to their already strained relationship.
Check out more of what Danny Boy had to say about his coming out in the above interview, including if he hooked up with anyone from Death Row.

Alexis Massey ALL people should have a choice to be with whomever they wanna be with. If a woman or anybody doesn't wanna be with a person who is this way, that is a right. Just like his right to choose male partners. He got to choose, but the women in his life, like a lot of black women have to just find out they are at risk. 1 in 2 black men who have sex with men have HIV, that is not made up and has been a fact for years now. LOOK IT UP. Please come out if you're gonna. So all people can choose who they wanna be with, gay, straight, or DL. Aint no shame if you respect yourself. No shame!

I applaud Danny Boy for speaking his truth. I was literally in tears just listening to him because I feel his concern for his kids because our lifestyle based on our sexual orientation has it's many obstacles and pitfalls. I really emphasize with him. I also agree with him about us being gay doesn't define who we are because it's just one thing that's a part of who we are because at the end of the day we're still men. I honestly feel that he deserves some credit for being honest about who he is because that takes a lot of courage. I can also respect his thought process because it's not rooted in ignorance. It all makes sense. He eventually was able to acknowledge who he truly is & I believe his faith led him to not be selfish & come out & give those who know him & everyone else 💯 % of who he is. DL men carry a huge burden and so many secrets & it's not fair to the females that they're with & neither is it fair to the guys that they have relations with that end up loving them. I cannot ever love another DL guy because they'll never love you back the way that we need to be loved.

A true gay man will not have a opportunity to father kids because he would not be bedding down a women at all. Meanwhile a man who like men and women will have chances to make babies. Think about it. Don't just project what u want to Believe. Use facts and logic and accept where that leads.

Dog, as a straight dude, I KNOW when someone is gay. It's an inner-G... So while you THINK you're "in the closet" and "nobody knows", people like myself already "KNOW"... We're just trying to be "respectful", civil, and decent by not putting your business on blast.

CedRock starr ..So are u saying ur a gay whisperer?..(smdh)...actually dude, gay dudes are the only dudes who spend a inordinate amount of time trying to read another man's sexual leanings. I don't know any dudes who I dont consider "suspect" who walk around aiming gaydar at every man they encounter. .."it ain't hard to tell".

Treat others the same way you want to be treated! Don't cry "why people picking one me" and pick on someone else. That's the way a jaded, messy, sissy bi#ch, handles their business not a grow man that has grown-up and learned from his experiences!!! Don't give strong gay men that handle their business a bad name because you're jaded... GROW UP!!! That's how I feel about the "Danny Boy" who might want to think about changing his name (when he grows up) to "Danny Man"

Danny Boy's sexual preference does not change the fact that he is a human being. His sexuality does not take away the reality that this man is talented, and gifted, with something to offer the world. People are quick to rush to judgment and slow to look at themselves and it's evident that the church of full of hypocrisy. The ones that are called to love you are the ones quickest to judge and condemn you. The irony lies in another truth, and that is all too often the people pointing fingers are worse than they're pointing fingers at. Much love to Danny Boy for his honesty and openness. The critics, judges and haters should all check themselves.
