With Bayles context this theme seems to have a another motive. Before i just asumed the osts theme was that of a Dragonlord desperatly holding to his Kingdom as its crumbles. But now i feel like the ost is portraying Loneliness and Abandonment. Placidusaxes 'friend' Bayle Betrayed him and left, Lanseax, Fortissax and Gransax all left him. His God who i asume he probably loved, left without any reason seemingly and His Own Kingdom is breaking apart. All he does all his days is try to contact his God, hoping that they might return one day. I feel like 3:25 - 3:53 portrays that feeling well. A lonely voice calling out but receiving no answear untill the song ends in stone crumbling. And the ending being a stone crumbling is rather poetic seeing as that seems to reflect Placidusax dying. Hes name translates to Calm Boulderstone and Ancient dragons skin is made from stone.
at 1:06 when he does his lasershow and the lighting everywhere, best moment in gaming to me,still get goosebumps just thinking about it,such a cool boss!
1:06 I love how this part of the soundtrack sounds like the Targaryen theme. Perhaps a homage to the writer of the game being also the author behind “A song of Ice and Fire”…
nope, we know that Bayle was the one who fled for the fight, wchich suggests that Placidusax was stronger than him, we also have to assume that the dragonLORD had to rule his people and Bayle is far from ideal ruler

Exactly what I thought! I keep seeing it as a ref that Elden Ring’s writer is the author of the books behind GoT.
Huh, surprised there are no comments
Yeah what's up with that? This is one of the coolest boss themes in the game imo
@@JulianY2K12 i think the original soundtrack were taken down

Underated ost
Feel Game of Thrones vibes here
Same leitmotiff as the targaryen theme.
You'll be interested to know that George R.R martin helped to write the story, in regards to world building anyway.
@@franzferdinand9093 Isn't it also the characters' lore? That's what I remember from Wikipedia.
