VIDEO CONTENTS:
[0:00] The Acid Dye Colors
Dharma acid dyes in Lilac, Indigo Blue, Midnight Blue, and Bright Aqua
[1:21] The dyebath
300 g Swish DK yarn no extra water and no acid
The yarn mop has a little acid sprinkled on it
[2:43] Dyeing the yarn
Add dye to one side, flip the yarn and then add dye to the other before adding water
[8:24] Add water to the yarn
8 cups of water + no acid at first
[10:27] Heating the yarn
Heat for 30 minutes once things are hot
[10:49] Finishing the Yarn Mop
Add to the dyebath and heat for 30 minutes
[13:21] Washing the yarn
[14:44] The finished dry yarn and conclusions

When the dark blue yarn was still in the pan, it reminded me of the brushstrokes in the painting Starry Night! It might be fun to use colors from the painting sprinkled on in the style of the brushstrokes.

Lovely colors. I often dye my own yarn for rug hooking. I have learned so much from watching your videos and they’re so enjoyable as well.

Very pretty dye. Great job! This colorway reminds me of your Feb. 2019 Dye-Along-With-Me of the fish tank. I think ProChem color Cornflower could replace Dharma's Midnight Blue. I know you have Cornflower, and I ordered the colorway myself.

My indigo lingers. I don't dye with it. I am happy to watch and have you change my mind.
I haven't used it enough to know for sure. Cabernet can be a pain, that is one that I sometimes regret going for.

Rebecca, I can't remember if I said this, but I spiral Formula 409 on my zip ties now. It works on stubborn dye stains in my studio too. Well, not where I dropped 8oz of Berry Crush! 😅
