Picturesque scenes all around.
very refreshing journey through northern parts of WB. The greenery along the route most scenic crossing several Himalayan Rivers and not to forget the Wild life sanctuaries and Reserve Forests. But for a few typical slums most portion of this journey covers the Nature in it's original form. Hats off to you Avinash for this effort

Yes!!! Finally, an NFR journey!!!! The route looks gorgeous, and your style of capture is simply awesome. Also, those short length rakes (with just 12 coaches) are extremely rare, especially in SCR (here, even most of the passenger trains get 18 or more coaches). Those were the old days (late 90s), when the traffic was less dense that such short rakes, hauled by a single ALCO was a common sight. Now, with the long rakes, twinning has become a standard practice.
Also, this route is really interesting. Most of the travel that I used to do towards Guwahati usually went the New Jalpaiguri-Falakata-New Cooch Behar route. This is an interesting branch, and judging by the plantations, is better left single line and less busy.
