Have this system on a 1997 Ford F150 4x4 and couldn't find any vacuum lines to the front hubs and almost all videos showing 97 vacuum actuators are about hub systems. Thanks for showing a differential system.
I thought mine was ok because it moved the swing arm so I was setting up my tools for replacement of the shift fork but then I moved the swing arm manually to get it out of the way but noticed that when I turned the wheel the opposite wheel turned opposite direction so indeed it was the actuator all along & I'm glad cause that shift fork is a fairly Big Job.
my truck does move the actuator but it looks like it does it to weak it moves it but i still have no 4x4 drive when i put it in reverse i hear loud click nois but not a constant nois just one click, i wonder if im not getting enough vacum on the line

Thumbs up. My issue was a break in both vacuum lines between the actuator and solenoids.

I have vacuum at both lines when in 4x4. I'm guessing the 2wd solenoid is not shutting off properly?
Same problem in my truck
I was recently told that a bad bearing seal in the front of my o6 ranger can cause the 4×4 actuator to malfunction is this possible.
