Good thorough review as always. That neck still looks like it would be too thick for me. I need a thin neck. I'm reviewing their Music Man Sterling type model in a couple weeks.
I didn't realize I said that at the start of the video 🤣. Whoops. You're absolutely right but what I really meant to say is that it had a lot of qc issues on top of having a very very chunky neck, think slightly thicker than q 50s style lp profile. The qc issues are on the other video but it had rough routing in the pickups, sharp fret ends, the neck wasn't sanded corrctly, the electronics didn't work and other issues. I'll share the link in case you want to watch that one but this guitar made a better impression on me, just not enough to be worth it in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
I saw a Vola at my local GC and it was a Joss something signature model. I wanted to try it out but it was way up high and I couldn't get any of the employees to get it down. Next time I went in it was gone. Anyhow, I've been interested in trying one to see if they are any good. I don't like the fretboard on the one in your video. I've had a couple of guitars with something similar called richlite fretboards and I got rid of them both. I really didn't like the way the richlite boards looked or felt. Some people really like them but I didn't. Thanks for your review. New subscriber here. ---EDIT--- I just noticed yours is a Volgoa. I confused it with "Vola."
I think so too! It's a relatively unique design with some decent features. Not sold on the fretboard but the stock pickups might benefit from and work with some better electronics (wire, pots, etc)
Thanks for the video. Any experience on the TN-2, Volgoa tele style? I guess it's new since there's no reviews, you're the only one I've seen that has any in depth experience with these so just curious. They're $200, $160 on sale for Prime day. My goal was to use it as a project guitar, its actually cheaper to buy this than a decent raw wood kit
Good thorough review. How many guitar brands do we need, though? New (cheap) ones keep popping up. Puzzles me a bit. As for that thing and the previous Volgoa... I wouldn't touch those things with a 10 foot pole. Having said that, I do enjoy your reviews. Keep 'em coming please.
This one was ok but like I said in the vid it doesn't motivate me to buy when there are better options. Eart, M Musi, Harley Benton and Firefly are all better choices.
These are cheap-price guitars and it is well known already. Stop acting surprised to get HPL fretboards ... you are not going to get well striated rosewood fretboards, for example. Don't get angry at posters for telling the truth.

It's def not too bad. Kind of like the thickness of a Schecter Hellraiser. Let me know how the Music Man Sterling one goes!
Great thorough review. The guitar looks good and sounded great too so it looks like they are improving. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks 4 the update.
A chunky neck is not a QC failure. It's a desired feature for many guitarists and not easy to find.

Great video Raf!
🙏
So 4 high frets but were there any low ones?
I don't have it anymore but not that I can remember.
That's a beautiful looking guitar. Thanks for another fantastic review!
It really is! Thanks for watching! 🙏

Its a nice looking guitar. Maybe a good platform to mod.

@@RafsGearReviewsI thought the pickups sounded killer lol.
@@johnnythompson6379 They are pretty decent!
My two headless volgoas the one with fake rosewood by the way are as good quality as my former custom guitars one which was over 3k in 2016

You either are the most honest person or have the worst luck
Raf - How did you make the connection of Volgoa to Grote?
lol the fretboard reflects light very interesting. i suppose that’s what “engineered wood” is

HATE chunky thick necks and im not a shredder either but still perfer sleek slim fast necks
That brand seems to want to own the status as "least desired"...
Change to plastic knobs and will no doubt be even lighter!
I ordered a Volgoa VVS (or something like that). Terrible guitar. Don't waste your money. Get a Harley Benton.

Get yourself a SIre!!
You mean like this one: ua-cam.com/video/d3bII4NpEpI/v-deo.html ?
😅 I do love my blue sire T7. Great guitar.
