The Spectrally Clustered Solomon Bar is the most basic form of a new genre of asymmetric ties I've been working with. Generating a spectral array of colors, the bracelet of this bar is both eye-catching and sturdy. Still, as mentioned, this bar is merely a starting point for a variety of other asymmetric ties. So be sure to play around with the technique. If you keep at it, you're sure to stubble into something new!
I make rope halters for horses and these are amazing ideas for detailing the nose bands!! And for reins!

I chose this as my first try with tying. It seemed a little difficult and I wanted to test my own skill level. It turned out pretty good. I would make a few passes then go back and tidy it up. My daughter loved it so I made it to her size. Great knot JD! I continue my search for the next one.

I expected this to be much more difficult than it turned out to be. As soon as I get more colors, I think I can do this.

Its because of the friction of the nylon the cord is made out of and when the cord is fused some of the melted nylon may fuse to the other cord slightly, so as long as its decently tight and if you fuse it right, It'll hold really well.

it seems like very hard at the first time, but when I do it, it is quite easy :D
Any sporting goods store, or even walmart sells cord in the household section. (I know, weird?) also... it is readily available at most military surplus stores in the "climbing" section.
I love your work, but would you make one of these knots but use it in conjunction with a buckle instead of a loop and knot... I use buckles with everything I make... Thanks

I found keeping the zigzag part *very* tight and sliding the whole thing up along the two middle cords worked well.
