You're still a "jack of all trades," David! That Camper is "mint", indeed. I love your videos! May this journey continue to thrive. Please hug Lefty for me. Such a sweetie ❤
I built up a 1985 Horton Ambulance Box and applied it to a retired 2009 E450 Factory Ambulance Chassis. Very pleased with the performance and usefulness for my Triplegic Wife. I too added a Backup Camera and since you can't see behind and to the Right of the Ambulance I placed a Backup Camera on the Right Rear side of the Ambulance Body, up high by the Lights pointed outward. I powered them up from the Backup Lights. Really helps for the blind spots!
I love your ideas and modifications to your rig. I do LOVE the frigerator, the subwoofer system, the console insert, and the sole panel, and generator ideas. I love to watch UA-cam Netflix and Hulu as well.
This is a incredible build and I would love to have your wheel Estate and I wish I could live this lifestyle but I'm handicap with a brittle bone disease so it's not a option as I have to live with someone and I'm not very mobile but I do enjoy these types of videos and I'll definitely be checking out more of your videos. Very NICE update, this was a great way to put it all together and it is such a nice rig!! Lefty is funny doing his digging thanks for including that. Yes you getting very close to 1000, that will be a very big mark for your channel!! Hope your friends and family in NY are staying safe !!!! Thank yo for this all put together, all your skills are on point !!

I love your videos. I just starting my build (2000 Ford E450) and I have been a student of the ambo life for a year and I purchased mine last month. I take notes on your videos and now I am ready. Thank you for sharing. I joined the Ambo group on FB. Mine came with a manuel and it has helped also. See you on the road soon.
Hey Dave, after watching your feature on CheapRVLiving I decided to have a look at some of your videos that I missed. You did such an awesome job on your Campulance!
You've got a new subscriber! I really enjoy your videos, especially the wiring / electrical ones and how you break them down. I'm on the search for an ambulance and have about a year or so lead time.
New Sub here... I'm really enjoying your videos and I'm looking forward to when Bob does his walk thru of your unit.. Keep the gear reviews and links coming.. I'm sure there is a lot of research going into everything you choose, because space is so premium Lefty keep him out of trouble and save
I just subscribed to your channel yesterday. I am watching all the videos on living in an Ambulance. I need to find your video that explains how you bought your rig. You gave out how different searches that is helpful if you are looking to buy a rig like yours. So if you can point me to this particular video I certainly would appreciate it very much. 👍
On these emergency vehicles they cut the horn wires usually in the wire loom near the bottom or just past the steering column and the wires go to the siren control so when going Code three you can hit the horn button and activate the siren ,That is what they call a horn ring , I worked for The California Department of Forestry and fire protection doing these installations for over 20 years ,Maybe you figured the horn out by now ,If you find the cut wires in the loom you can splice them back and the horn should work again from the steering wheel ,
I have what looks like the same type body and will start converting as soon as the heat lets up. Mine is a F-350 but the box looks a lot like yours, it's a Horton body...
Hi Fred. Great to hear of another joining the fleet out here! A lot of boxes are similar and it seems that even different manufacturers had common styles. Have a great time on the build out :)
New member here. Really appreciate you and your videos. Hope to run into you once I get on the road. New rig pickup today. Did you remove all of the stretcher mounts on the floor or just cover them up with the carpet?
Hi Brian and thank you for watching! You're correct, they are just covered by the carpet and 2 are still visible where I have the original floor showing. They haven't been a problem and are just about 3/16" tall with beveled edges.
Wow! I pressed play to see your bed set up and heard you say that Your ambulance came from Arkansas, I'm from Crossett, Arkansas...lol My question is what is the square footage of the area that you sleep in? Because I was going to buy a window unit, but wasn't ready to cut into my ambulance. So I ordered a portable evaporative cooler. That cools 175 square feet. My next thing if that don't keep me cool at night, I was gonna purchase a portable air conditioner and run the hose through the oxygen tank compartment.
Yes, I found my truck in Arkansas on Craigslist! Be careful with the portable AC units as they use A LOT of power to cool (not so great). My house is 12' x 6' x 7' and the 5000btu AC can cool it to 65 on a mid 90 degree day.
Hi Joe - thank you! Glad you were able to use that discount. I've been happy with the mattress they made for me and it gives me a real comfortable nights sleep. Thanks for watching!!

With a little bit more effort, you could get your super extreme closeup shots even closer. I noticed some dust spores that weren't quite in focus. No way any of your viewers would want perspective or context, so make sure to keep that camera really tight on the subject.
Thanks Larry for the feedback. The cameras I have aren't the greatest for close in work. My next camera will be better suited for macro work with adjustable focus. Thanks again :)
There are a bunch of ambulance rigs out there that do have toilets in them. You can make the room if that's a priority. I didn't want to devote that much space for something that is used for 2 minutes a day...
Nice job on the build and the video. There was a most obnoxious tick-tick-tick sound throughout that really bothered me. I don't think it added any value to the presentation.
Hopefully you will see this comment I'm not for sure because it has been a while but maybe you will anyways I really like the ambulance I'm just wondering is it haunted some people say that when they buy them they are I was just wondering if maybe it was just a big Yahoo joke let me know please give Lefty a hug for me

I didn't straighten that out, no. I use the button I added :/ Thanks for that tip!!!
The space where you have a motorcycle helmet would make a great little shower with a toilet. Your helmet can go in one of your drawers. :)
