Animal Foundation needs fosters as it continues to struggle with overcrowding

- The Animal Foundation is running out of space again after taking in 338 animals over the past two days. Of these, 38 dogs came from one home. Overcrowding has been an ongoing issue at the shelter in recent months.
This infuriates me. They could care less about the animals, it's only money to these backyard breeders. I have 2 frenchies already, I so wish I could foster😢
@KitCat1988~ The real reason is the animal vets charging outrageous amounts of money for pet care. People already had issues trying to pay for pet food. My friends vet bill was 4,600 dollars and their insurance won’t cover prior problems ~ has nothing to do with breeders. First it was the high cost of living and food prices now you go to the vet and these people want thousands of dollars for nothing. 600 dollar check up as if that does anything for your pet. It’s like going for an oil change they charge you 80,00 dollars to open the hood to do nothing. People can’t afford these ridiculous vet bills. Why the news are not saying the actual problem is beyond me. Can people fork out 5~6 k every time you visit the vet? These people will go broke and out of business people cannot keep up with such price gouging.

@Ts_AubrieTaylor~ the way veterinary’s are overcharging now you would loose thousands and that’s if nothing is wrong with your dog or cat. People I know have told me they are being charged excessive for vet visits 600 and up it’s not worth it.

They won’t have so many if they didn’t sell them for so much money because that’s what they’re doing they just call it adoption fee

Have a reporter try to volunteer there.
Pre-2020: it took maybe an hour to be a volunteer. Today: IT feels impossible

This is disgusting and I sure wish there were more laws to protect animals from neglect and abuse.... Some people are just horrible.
Damn shame
The way food and veterinary skyrocketed prices nobody can afford any pet. Why is it that all of a sudden any vet visit is 4,600 dollars? Please people start blaming the price gauging that all vet clinics are practicing. That’s why you have so many dogs being abandoned. They have completely monopolized pet care as if food isn’t already expensive. Why aren’t news anchors reporting the real reason behind all these dogs being abandoned?
Please. Having any pet is a luxury with responsibilities. Shouldn't get if one cannot provide and financially support. Just as with having children.
