A good way to begin is a cheap paper back bible for $5 from christain book store and buy some highlighters and mark every word you read. Then i use an ink pen to underline key verses. Them get a $20 bible and use light color highlighters and highlight in 1 color any name of God, Lord etc. 2nd color for Jesus, "the Word", Holy Spirit. Then I use a 3rd color for favorite verses. I used Blue Letter Bible app to find the words location. These two things helped me to now write notes in my bibles.
I find listening to the audio bible really helps me to engage. I am not.a silent reader at all! 😂😂
Do you mind sharing what audio You’re bible that you listen to?
@@lesalbeck6336word of promise is really good! It’s Nkjv
I love giant and Super Giant print. 🤓😍
I’m so glad that you shared about using tabs to point to something you read during the night!!! That’s a game changer for me! Thanks so much for keeping me encouraged to be myself and not wasting time watching others, am I making sense? 😊 I love watching several ladies….you keep me grounded.
I would like to know about the Bible you showed that had wide margins all around the words. It was a single column too. I was wondering if it is still in print.
Full review to come 😍
I have an NASB that I only write with pencil in, I don't want bleed through and I can always erase if needed. It's a very large, giant print bible I use to take all my study notes in. I write in my bible because I like having all my notes in one place, easily accesable inside my bible. In this bible I don't use anything but pencil, because it's my everyday reader with my study notes . Colors and stickers would be distracting for me.
I do have an NLT Thrive bible, that one I go crazy in, with stickers, highlighters, colored pens, I'm very creative in that bible. It's my, devotional bible, that a feel free to be creative in.
I think that when you write in your bible, no matter what you use, you're deepening your connection to the word and the God of that word.
I use to be one of those people who was hesitant to write in my bible. I discovered it was best for me to have a couple bibles. One for study (not a study bible per say) and one to be creative in.
Starting off with less expensive paperback bibles really helped me learn that I prefered it that way.
👍 Great vid, 💖 your content.
Hello Mrs. Cat, this is my first time commenting. You have been so inspirational! I started a Bible reading program in January and from watching your videos I got more and more comfy with marking up my Bible. Two weeks ago I got the KJV notetakers because of you! And I love it!!! I wouldn't be surprised if it's my forever Bible. Thanks so much for being open, girlish and creative. Bless ❤
Thank you for continuing to share these inspiring videos, I love your Godly content.

I was just watching some of your play lists then you post a new one 😊hope your well cat 👍
Thank you graciously ❤
I have a giant print journaling Bible … I found what I like… whatever notes I write in the big space… I choose any color highlighter and I color the notes I wrote and the corresponding verse.
Love this for my ADD brain lol.
I love your idea of using a certain color for God’s attributes/ words/promises.
I liked the using a Bible to highlight just one color for prayers or or for any theme I’d want to pull out.
Great idea to have one Bible highlighted just for one subject… I’d list it on the outside or inside the front cover.
I date everything I do and helps with when my kids and grandkids would be going through it when I’m gone❤
You hard work is very appreciated❤
I am afraid to mark in my bible, but I started marking my bible with a graphite pencil so I can rub it out if I make a mistake. I use a small NLT large print to use as a cuddle/spiritual growth bible. I'm also using stickers and sticky notes in the blank spaces throughout the bible as I don't like covering up the text, unless I am highlighting Scripture.
Unfortunately pencils will fade away and disappear over time soooo all your work on the notes unless you have them written down somewhere else will be gone. Just heads up
@@catwoods5499 I keep a small notebook to put notes in. It stays in my bible tote.
I marked something too dark in my Bible I am so frustrated😢I wrote the Bible verse in the margins but still I am kinda mad at myself ;(
