interesting approach by using solder mask first and then cutting the wires to size and shaving down the enamel at the end. what's the name of the magnetic pcb holder you use?

Have you ever explored converting one of these to use a USB-C port for charging? (I know they're vastly different)
I have 2 brand new units after breaking the first one and a coworker failing to re-trace it, and I'm planning to at least reinforce them before I put them to use this time.

Good sugestion, yes I have and it will require alot of modification to the PCB and shell, not somthing That is worth doing. The USB ports on these should last if you are REALLY carful and use quality micro USB cables.
