Colossians 1:20-22 And having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself: by him whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. This is past tense. And you, that were sometime enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled. Again, past tense. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreprovable in his sight. We have been made the righteousness of God in him, or we could not put on the breastplate of righteousness. Great way to help understand he has done everything we need for righteousness on the cross. Thanks for putting it in so simple easy to understand verbiage.
Visited a church today told us we were sinners by nature and I John 1:9 is needed daily if not more. So sad. And of course the sermon was about getting saved to a crowd of saved people. And the text wasn’t even about being saved!
Actually sanctification is progressive for the justified born again believer justification is a one time event as for sanctification that is not a one time even its a process as we grow up in God's Grace. And then there is Glorification where we will get glorified new bodies being redeemed from the presence of sin and temptation the first one called Justification saves and sets believers free from the penalty of sin the second one Sanctification frees us from the power of sin and the third one Glorification saves and sets free as well as redeems from the presence of sin. Amen to all 3 things that are our Salvation that comes by Grace not by works even though we do walk in good works but only to shine the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that way the unbelievers can become believers by the new birth.
