Join Krupa, Luke, Alex and Rich as they discuss this week's biggest news, from The Witcher 3 and Bourne rumours, along with their favourite British comedies.
The UK team are actually 150% more tolerable than the "I want to crash a container ship into each one of their faces" us team. But that's just like, my, opinion man.
What's with all the hate for the UK team? Personally, I love listening to the UK podcast, as they're by far the best podcast of IGN for humour (in my opinion) but it's seems like many people here don't get the humour, which makes me think it's a British thing.
When they all start talking fast, it seems their accents get thicker and slurry and more difficult to understand! I wonder if they would listen to 4 of us, USA'ers talking fast and excitedly do we sound all thicker and more slurry as well?
The reason you struggle to understand us is because you're not use to hearing us. However, many Brits will be able to easily understand Americans because we are use to hearing the accent on television and other media.
That was in reference to the first person, haha. Though, I personally love these guys, usually they're funny episodes, though this one wasn't as good! Each to thier own I guess.
please sir i like your accent so much and I'm your follower student on youtube podcast. I found the 4000 essential words are read by American accent and really I like it to be with your British accent. please try to help us by reading these 4000 essential words in English.
such a miserable podcast... damn, I had to watch this just for the sake of improving my british english listening, although I might try to find other, more dinamic material on the net.
What is going on here? I dont think British humor translates that well to a US audience, Krupa is legit, but honestly there should be IGN UK youtube channel. No need to include this in the US channel, theres already enough random vids in the feed that dont belong there.
Isn't US full of UK comedians and UK created comedy shows? 4 random people don't exactly represent a whole nation. ;) Honestly as somebody watching both comedy scenes form the outside, both UK and US comedy is identical, outside of American's being totally clueless about self-deprecating humor and a bit alien to dark comedy that doesn't have a laugh track. At the same the production quality is the best in US. Anyways, IGN is global network. So of course they are not going for one nation. IGN is over in 30 countries.
***** You're watching the wrong comedy. If you're talking about television (which it sounds like you are), then pander to the idiots of our population. Most people have stopped watching television and switched to web series or netflix etc.
Jacob Diaz I don't think anybody in my age group that have born in the late 80's is watching TV outside of sports. My TV is a windows to sports and HBO Nordic. Netflix is 98% TV rather than original content. About web series you are absolute right. All comedy I watch these days is content only available from the web and that indeed tends to be NA dominated. At least what I watch.
