- Greetings Everyone!!! The moment I have been waiting for has finally arrived. I picked my watermelons from the garden and turned them into some tasty jam. This was quite simple and easy to make, full of flavor. With watermelons being in season right now, making this delicious jam is not only easy but very inexpensive as well.
Watermelon Jam
4 cups of puree watermelon
4 cups of sugar
1 package pectin

Great job Roxanne! You are easy to be with. I was thinking about all those blackberries growing on the 41.36. They'd make a lot of jam! I wouldn't leave them all to the bears.
Hi Roxy, I agree it is such a great feeling to grow and preserve your own food. I think if you enjoy homemaking, cooking, baking, gardening etc. You will be good at it. It is easy to see that you love what you do. This was fun. Until next time.
You are living the homesteader life building your dreams in converting the shed to your home, gardening, raising chickens & now canning your food💪great job ❤️ video
You guys are the real deal...
I'm 51 yrs young, and I love to can , been since I was a little girl, my mom canned everything she could in jars , when the lights go out,all your food will be alright, no refrigerator need. Can sausage is delicious and beef, chicken, and all jams , jelly, and preserves, potatoes, tomatoes . Preserve the food for the future makes you a little more successful for your family and friends. Hard work but worth it .
Loved your new video. You sound so professional. The jam sounds delicious. Looking forward to more from you.❤
Roxy, I absolutely loved your first video!! You did a great job, and made me hungry for both your watermelon jam and more wonderful videos like this one. I am really enjoying the Daily Vibe videos too. It’s so fun watching you and Anthony working together on your home. You can see the love you have for each other, Wyatt, your animals, the chickens and roosters, and your beautiful garden. One of the most fun things for me, is seeing you both learning as you grow. Looking forward to making watermelon jam!
Thank you !
This brings back memories of Strawberry picking with my Grandma, and helping her clean and cut them up, and watching her make the delicious freezer Jam! Using a pot of boiling water like you did.....and I remember hearing the POP, and her telling me they were good to go now. 🤗
She passed years ago and after I finished my last jar of Jam I thought to myself..... I'll never have homemade strawberry freezer Jam from my Grandma again. ☹️ But......
I have been getting a large jar of homemade strawberry Jam from one of the Older ladies from my Church, for helping out during our Preachers Conference every June! 😊
I never learned how to make the "homemade bread" or
"Homemade Freezer Jam" or even just "Canning food in general".
There are a few Older ladies at church who do that, and I would like to learn how. I also Love doing Crafts! So......I will be checking out your Channel Roxanne! 😊👍
I love preserving food it gives me a sense of accomplishment and Joy
You did a fantastic job! I gotta try that Jelly, I have never heard of watermelon jelly. I can’t wait for the next episode.
Roxanne good job. I could see that you were a little nervous at first but after a few minutes you relaxed and we could see your true personality coming through. I loved watching how you made the jam and how easy it actually was. Looking forward to seeing more. I have never done any canning but would like to try. Maybe you could have an episode on the basics for us newbies.
Hi Roxy
Can we still call you Roxanne?
Great video. You did good 👍
You had my mouth watering😋
There are so many ideas that you've told us about over on CRC that you have for things you want to do inside and outside . So I'm sure there will be a lot to see in coming episodes.
Wishing you the best in this new endeavor.
In all you do stay safe
I love your apron! I never heard of watermelon jam. Sounds good!
That looks yummy! Could you provide links to canning basic stuff or a list in your next video. You are making me less scared to try it! Looking forward to your homemaker videos 🥰
I just got an Instant Pot, I'm dying for recipes! The app that comes with it is terrible. Please do share! I had never thought of watermelon jam! I'm totally gonna make this. We just made our first ever set of jam from foraged cherry plums and it is divine! It's thin but so tasty on waffles and pancakes and has been a total motivation for us! Thank you so much for the inspiration!
Really enjoyed the video! Looking forward to seeing more!
Roxanne, you are a total “Roxstar”!❤️
Wonderful job makes me hungry for jam. Looking for more exciting recipes. Enjoying all your workings on the homestead.

It's going to be fun watching your channel! I love that it's starting in your 'temporary' kitchen and you will vlog it into a DONE one.
Yay, girl time! There are some very easy jams to do that do not require pressure cooking. I do two cups of blueberries to one cup of sugar, put it on the stove to a slow bubble constantly stir usually a half hour or 45 minutes, reach the thickness you like, jar it and put it in the fridge. It's very quick and easy and I do it every week. Strawberries and is two cups of berries to one cup of sugar, blueberries are two cups of berries to one cup of sugar.
I hadn't thought of watermelon for jelly.
Sounds yummy
Awesome video Roxanne.

Great job Roxanne!! I've been watching country road cure since you guys were first setting up camp. You've all come such a long way but to see you grow, harvest and turn it into jam is amazing. We tried to grow a vegetable garden here in Vegas this past spring and summer but failed miserably. Lol

Hey Roxy
What a fantastic video for your first one. Never heard of watermelon 🍉 jam. I am definitely going to try making this. Thank you so much for sharing.
Just a tip for you when your cleaning the jars after you fill them with goodness. Wipe the jars with white vinegar it helps clean and gives a good seal.
Yay 1st video from Roxy homemaker 😀😀😀😀

This was great! Good job!!! And yes I've heard you're a fabulous cook!!
Hi Roxy, I enjoyed your video. Looking forward to more.
I’ve never tried watermelon jelly. But so simple and I bet very good. Great video
Hi Roxy so happy to see what you are doing today 💗💗
Yum. Grew up watching my Mom making watermelon preserves but never made it myself. I plan to now. Thanks!
Great session Roxy! Your fun and easy to listen too. Thanks for sharing your talents with all of us. Easy to see your God given talent. God bless!
SWEETHEART as a 40 or more year canner. Please do me a favor do not lock your pressure canner lid down when using as a water bath canner. Honey I just don’t want you to have a HORRIBLE accident. All you need to do is just place a round pizza pan on the top of the pot (pressure pan) when using as a water bath pot. You did really good showing how to can jelly. GOD BLESS & HAPPY CANNING
I have a large lid that just covers my pressure canner that I use when I water bath. It lets me easily see how hard the pot is boiling.
Looking forward to more ♥
Your jelly looks great! Love this channel, I think you will do good. I like that you will be doing lots of different things. Can't wait for the next one! Do you quilt? I have made so many, plus a lot of home dec stuff! LOL
Really enjoyed your 1st video, can't wait to try making watermelon jam, sounds great! Looking forward to your next one!
You can make watermelon rind preserves also . That was a treat with hot biscuits .
Hi Roxy, I am tuning in from the UK and didnt even know that you can make jam with watermelons. Your jam has a wonderful vibrant colour.
I’d love to see how you made the yard ornaments, I.e. mushrooms, I want to make some for my yard, I thought those were so sweet!
Really good video Roxanne ! Looking forward to more.
Thank you for sharing Roxanne. I love making jellies and jam. Love this channel. Look forward to the next video. Take care from Cape Cod Massachusetts 😀
Great video Roxanne!! I might have to try this recipe. I’ve done strawberry, grape jams and I vaguely remember helping my mom make raspberry jelly which was very tasty but kind of a pain to make as she used cheese cloth?(not sure if that’s the right name) but it was to help get the seeds out.
I definitely will be looking for your next video!! 💜👏🎉
I am so happy.... I've been following your other channels since you all started. Now I get to see and learn all that I have heard about. (( hugs )) from Grandma Vicki
