For OPEN VIDEO, you can thank me. I was so stubborn, that I wrote about it as an issue, and I wrote directly to Nikolaj, asking him twice to do the same with video, as we have with the subtitles. Open subtitles and open the video, it is so natural, not to go to the menu, and then open the video. There is a trick for this, you can open the subtitle, then you go to the waveform and click on 'click to add waveform' text (in waveform) and SE will automatically offer you to choose the video. But, this way, with the button, it is much more elegant. I was so happy when Nikolay told me he made a new button. And he thanked me in the changelog, he put it in the first place of changes.
The Open Video button is highly welcome and thank you so much for requesting Nikolaj to add it. We're lucky that Nikolaj is always open to input and I believe that's why Subtitle Edit has grown tremendously. :)
@@David_Mbugua You might know about some subtitle program that is close to SE, but what I know, is Subtitle Workshop, which is like a program from the Stone Age. SE is more than unique. So many features, so great program.
